Together we create the future of personalizing medicine.</p> <p>About the Job</p> <p>Facilities Maintenance Technician plays a key role in maintaining and improving the reliability, safety, and efficiency of the facility and equipment supporting sterile pharmaceutical production at the Canton, MA facility. This role requires hands-on technical skills, attention to detail, and strict adherence to cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.</p> <p>The ideal candidate has experience in regulated manufacturing environments, a strong mechanical or electrical background, and a proactive approach to preventive and corrective maintenance.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Repair and maintain plant equipment and building infrastructure per manufacture specifications, SOP's incompliance with cGMP's </li><li>Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make appropriate adjustments </li><li>Strong understanding of electrical wiring and installation </li><li>Ensure facility and equipment are kept clean, in a safe, and serviceable condition </li><li>Interface and augment Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) </li><li>Maintain spare parts inventory, order, and restock as required </li><li>Partners with Quality and follows the necessary procedures (change controls, work orders, investigation, etc.) associated with building equipment and infrastructure </li><li>Understands and monitors Building Management System (BMS) and coordination with Environmental Monitoring on temperature, relative humidity, and pressures issues. </li><li>Communicates with internal departments, customers, and vendors on status of work and issues effecting services </li><li>Coordinate tasks and scheduling with vendor resources </li><li>Facilitate office and small equipment moves </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance preferred. </li><li>3+ years of maintenance experience in a regulated manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment (503B, 503A, medical device, or biotech preferred). </li><li>Working knowledge of cGMP, FDA, and cleanroom operational standards. </li><li>Demonstrated experience with maintenance management systems (CMMS). </li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment manuals. </li><li>Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and limited automation systems. </li><li>Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word). </li><li>Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team. </li><li>Availability for occasional on-call or weekend maintenance support. </li><li>Attention to Detail - Maintains precise records and ensures work meets stringent regulatory and quality standards. </li><li>Technical Aptitude - Demonstrates hands-on expertise in troubleshooting and maintaining complex systems in a controlled environment. </li><li>Problem Solving - Quickly identifies root causes of issues and develops effective corrective actions. </li><li>Team Collaboration - Works effectively across departments, supporting production and engineering needs in a collaborative manner. </li><li>Adaptability - Adjusts to changing priorities and requirements in a dynamic pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. </li><li>Accountability - Takes ownership of assigned tasks and ensures timely, compliant completion. </li><li>Safety Mindset - Promotes and practices a culture of safety and compliance in every aspect of work. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.</p> <ul> <li>Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day. </li><li>The employee must be able to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
