Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.</p> <p>Responsibilities for this Position</p> <p>Duties and Tasks:</p> <p>Possess high level of manufacturing technical skills</p> <p>Oversees the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing</p> <p>methods, processes and operations for new and existing products</p> <p>Establishes and ensures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance</p> <p>requirements</p> <p>Responsible for managing people, including performance evaluations and merit</p> <p>recommendations</p> <p>Works closely with product design/engineering to ensure new products are seamlessly</p> <p>transitioned into production through a defined New Product Introduction process</p> <p>Responsible for ensuring that all internal quality practices demonstrate compliance to</p> <p>external regulations</p> <p>Collaborate across departmentsLines of Business, Supply Chain Management, and</p> <p>Engineering to ensure program objectives are aligned and understood</p> <p>Manage all capital requirements in facilities and ensure equipment and machinery meet the</p> <p>required safety, quality, and productivity requirements</p> <p>Responsible for areas of lean manufacturing techniques, cost reduction, on-time delivery</p> <p>performance, safety, visual controls and plant performance measurements</p> <p>Ensures the effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel in producing quality</p> <p>products at minimum costs</p> <p>Acts as a liaison with engineering in releasing new products.</p> <p>Implements and analyzes manufacturing engineering plans and projects.</p> <p>Designs, develops and transfers manufacturing engineering tools, strategies and systems.</p> <p>Responsibility to lead other managers and/or supervisors related to a business area, project or</p> <p>strategic activity</p> <p>Typically leads a department(s) or large complex project or several smaller projects</p> <p>concurrently to meet business and profitability growth objectives</p> <p>Manages group activities to develop and implement long range goals and objectives to meet</p> programs at the proposal stage</p> <p>Monitors the overall execution of process changes to improve overall efficiency of</p> <p>manufacturing and the effects on current and future work (cost, cycle time, quality)</p> <p>Establishes selection criteria for hiring senior members of operations staff and manages</p> <p>hiring process</p> <p>Leads and manages proposals within business area</p> <p>Manages and reviews the development of operations schedules and baselines in response to</p> <p>program direction, contract guidance and product lifecycle requirements</p> <p>Leads efforts to identify schedule and resource risks and develop risk reduction plans</p> <p>Manages process changes to improve overall efficiency of manufacturing</p> <p>May lead team in development and execution of earned value requirements</p> <p>Reviews operations plans to meet requirements for sales planning and to ascertain</p> <p>manufacturing or outsourcing requirements to develop new products/markets</p> <p>Regularly assesses performance of team members to established processes and procedures</p> <p>Mentors and develops other operations managers and supervisors</p> <p>Manages area to achieve all
