Prime's continued success is a direct result of a corporate culture that instills and inspires each associate to remain committed to reaching the pinnacle of their inherent potential.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Prime, Inc. is looking for a hard-working, customer-oriented associate to join our Cafe team. Responsibilities of this position will include:</p> <ul> <li>Providing lightly seasoned, nutritionally adequate and varied diet for driving and non-driving associates. </li><li>Performing cooking duties with other workers. </li><li>Serving salads, vegetables, meat, and breads as indicated by customers. </li><li>Carrying pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator. </li><li>Scrubbing and polishing counters, steam-ables, and other equipment. </li><li>Cleaning work area, equipment, and utensils. </li><li>Segregating and removing garbage, and steam cleaning or hosing garbage containers. </li><li>Replenishing foods at serving stations. </li><li>Brewing coffee and tea, and maintaining functionality of soft drink, ice, and water fountain. </li><li>Carving meat. </li><li>Totaling check and accepting payment for food if applicable. </li><li>Wiping tables and seats with dampened cloth if applicable. </li><li>Transporting trash and waste to disposal area. </li><li>Supervises and participates in daily operations of café on the cook line, in the kitchen, and at the cash register. </li><li>Makes recommendations and decisions regarding overall operation of the café. </li><li>Follows established procedures for cleanliness and food preparation and ensures that food service work areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner an in accordance with government and company standards. </li><li>Seeks to maximize revenue opportunities and minimize costs. </li><li>Delivers exceptional service to all customers including non-driving and driving associates. </li><li>Ensures all associates are aware of their responsibilities and are given supervision and motivation on all aspects of their work. </li><li>Develops a team of associates that take pride in their job and take ownership of their work. </li><li>Orients and trains staff in proper work practices during their shift. </li><li>Assures that all associates are following Prime and Café policies, addresses infractions and reports to the Café supervisor. </li><li>Assures that meals are prepared and delivered on time and in acceptable quantity and quality. </li><li>Inventories supplies and equipment. </li><li>Candidate must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs; pushing and pulling is minimal. </li></ul> <p>Shift needed:</p> <p>Tuesday - Saturday 2:30pm - 10:30pm</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:</p> <p>Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:</p> <p>Knowledge</p> <p>Industrial kitchen or line cook experience is preferred. Management experience is also a plus.</p> <p>Abilities</p> <p>Must have a strong work history. Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights and weekends required.</p> <p>Experience, Education, and Training</p> <p>High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</p> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>Position requires frequent walking, head turning, bending, reaching and grasping; constant standing forward reaching and grasping. Candidate must be able to lift and carry 45lbs and push and pull minimally.</p> <p>Working Environment</p> <p>Primarily indoor working environment with controlled heating and cooling with varying exposure to chemical odors.</p> <p>Licensing/Certification</p> <p>Must have reliable transportation to and from work.</p> <p>Miscellaneous Requirements</p> <p>Candidate must be able to pass a job specific post-offer physical prior to beginning employment with Prime, Inc.</p>
