<p>Job Details</p> <p>Kettering Health Main Campus | Kettering | Full-Time | 12 Hour Shift Days</p> <p>Responsibilities & Requirements</p> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Graduate of a 2-4 year AMA approved Respiratory Program </li><li>Required Licenses[Ohio, United States] Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory TherapistLicensed Respiratory Care Practitioner for the State of OhioRRT Credentials issued by the National Board of Respiratory CareCurrent BLS with ACLS, PAL or NRP for respective area </li><li>Acute/critical care knowledge as it relates to cardiopulmonary disease statesAbility to precept acute/critical care areasSupervisory capabilities. </li></ul> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Determine respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians / providers. Ensure compatibility with physician orders. </li><li>Perform respiratory protocols as outlined in system policies. </li><li>Set up and administer all routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures to patients. </li><li>This includes inhalants, mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems. </li><li>Perform invasive and noninvasive testing to assist in treating chronic and acute respiratory illnesses. </li><li>Assess and interpret evaluations and test results. </li><li>Inspect, clean, test and maintain respiratory therapy equipment. </li><li>Ensure equipment is functioning safely and efficiently. </li><li>Order repairs when necessary.Evaluate effects of the respiratory therapy treatment plan and recommend modifications when needed. </li><li>This includes monitoring vital signs, arterial blood gasses, and reviewing patient information. </li><li>Complete discharge planning by consulting with medical staff members and assist with qualifying and setting up of home medical equipment. </li><li>Record all information in the patient legal record and maintain department records. </li><li>Educate patient on their disease state, wellness, home care, and safety.Provide clinical preceptorship for Respiratory Therapy StudentsAll other duties assigned by departmental leadership. </li></ul>
