<p>Nature of Work</p> <p>BFA250039</p> <p>Join our team in the Long Term Care unit as an Economic Service Supervisor at the Bureau for Family Assistance! We are seeking an experienced, passionate leader to supervise and guide our unit in delivering impactful economic assistance services to West Virginians. Employees also receive a full benefits package that includes 12 paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation and sick leave, medical insurance, life insurance, retirement plans, and much more!</p> <p>This position reinforces the mission of the Unit to supply long term care through departmental programs by overseeing the execution of essential services and managing the delivery of state and federal economic assistance programs such as SNAP, Medicaid, and Emergency Assistance/LIEAP. The Economic Service Supervisor will be providing expert assistance and supervision regarding available economic services and administration of related benefits to help those who are in need.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Responsibilities of the Economic Service Supervisor include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Managing employees and their assignments, including employee progressive discipline, performance standards, expectations, and documentation.</p> </li><li> <p>Selecting, training, supervising, and mentoring staff directly using provided guidelines and policies.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitoring staffing needs, system alerts, quality control, and equipment issues while executing appropriate actions as determined by department policy and procedure.</p> </li><li> <p>Planning staff assignments and unit meetings to ensure completion of income maintenance and related tasks.</p> </li><li> <p>Representing Economic services to management, outside stakeholders, other divisions, and to the community.</p> </li><li> <p>Implementing policies, programs, corrective action plans, and program improvement plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Providing in-person and virtual system training, policy guidance, standardized reports, and conflict resolutions for employees.</p> </li><li> <p>Carrying a caseload for agency programs and benefits as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Performing other related duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Click The APPLY Link To Apply Online</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Training: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.</p> <p>Experience:Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid employment in a public or private social welfare agency or related experience in interviewing or evaluating claimants for assistance, veteran's or unemployment benefits, insurance or similar programs operating under established criteria for eligibility.</p> <p>Substitution: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted for the training on a year-for-year basis.</p>
