This role requires hands-on accounting experience, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to perform complex accounting activities and financial analyses.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <ul> <li>Perform month-end close procedures including recording journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts. </li><li>Analyze financial results to understand and explain variances to forecast and budget. </li><li>Create and update accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements. </li><li>Support the creation of financial reporting deliverables for internal and external stakeholders. </li><li>Assist with the annual external audit by preparing workpapers and actioning audit requests. </li><li>Support efforts to strengthen cross-functional relationships for business alignment. </li><li>Assist in the preparation of the company's annual budget, working with various departments to set targets and allocate resources effectively. </li><li>Identify technology and automation opportunities to drive efficiency. </li><li>Establish and improve internal control processes to enhance compliance and safeguard company assets. </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements Qualifications and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. </li><li>5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting setting. </li><li>Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred. </li><li>Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial statement preparation. </li><li>Experience with general ledger reconciliations, month-end close, and financial analysis. </li><li>Big 4 experience is a plus. </li><li>Proficiency in Excel, including working with large datasets, pivot tables, and advanced formulas. </li><li>Experience with ERP systems (Sage preferred but not required). </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment. </li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments. </li><li>ASC 606 revenue recognition and lease accounting (ASC 842) experience is a plus. </li></ul>
