<p>Kforce has a client that is seeking a Tax Consultant in Clearwater, FL.</p> <p>Summary: The client is looking for an experienced Indirect Tax Contractor to temporarily support the indirect tax function during our transition period. This role will bridge the gap while we search for a permanent position.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Tax Consultant will prepare and file multi-state sales and use tax returns, and property tax returns, including reconciliation and payment processing </li><li>Respond to tax notices and support ongoing audits or inquiries from taxing jurisdictions </li><li>Assist with maintaining exemption certificate documentation and validating taxability determinations </li><li>Collaborate with AP/AR teams to resolve transactional tax issues and ensure proper tax coding </li><li>As a Tax Consultant, you will support tax engine configuration reviews (preferably SureTax), reporting, and data validations </li><li>Document key processes and help capture institutional knowledge for future transition* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in multi-state sales and use tax and personal property tax compliance </li><li>Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with finance and operational stakeholders </li><li>Prior experience in audit support and indirect tax process documentation is a strong plus </li></ul> <p>Duration:</p> <ul> <li>Estimated 2 to 4 months, with flexibility depending on onboarding of permanent staff </li></ul>
