<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Job Description Summary:</p> <p>Onondaga Community College is accepting applications for skilled adjunct instructors to teach Psychology.</p> <p>Major Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>College-level teaching of Psychology courses. The current need is for instructors to teach PSY103 General Psychology especially day/afternoon time slots. </li><li>Preparing and presenting lectures. </li><li>Meeting with students as needed to answer questions. </li><li>Responding to student queries (e.g. email or voice mail) as needed, in a reasonably timely manner. </li><li>Writing, administering, and grading all student assignments and exams. </li><li>Computing grades and submitting them on time. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree or higher in Psychology or qualifying field from an accredited college, university or foreign equivalency. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Strong candidates will have some experience teaching at the community college level and working with diverse populations of students, especially underrepresented students. </li><li>Bilingual in English and Spanish. English and other languages will be considered. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Product suite. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <ul> <li>To be considered, please submit a resume and cover letter at time of application, including availability to teach. </li><li>The three (3) references listed on the application must be professional references, and one of those must be a current or previous supervisor.
