<p>The Program Manager works closely with the PI and Directors to manage day-to-day operation and financial activity for the Southeast ADA Center.</p> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in business administration, or similar. Master's degree preferred. </li><li>Minimum 10 years' experience from university or non-profit administration. </li><li>5-10 years' experience from federal grant management and/or research administration. </li><li>Demonstrated command of general accounting principles and finance processes such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, budget and planning, and financial reporting. </li><li>Residence in Southeast region of the U.S. strongly preferred. </li><li>Ability to travel as needed (less than 10%). </li></ul> <p>Skills and Knowledge</p> <ul> <li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. </li><li>Solid understanding of finance processes and possession of a continuous improvement mindset. </li><li>Familiarity with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Federal Uniform Guidance (CFR 200), accessibility principles and other relevant policies and regulation. </li><li>Proficiency in financial management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace. </li><li>Experience with Syracuse University systems, including PeopleSoft. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Provide administrative and financial management to sponsored research center, including:</p> <ul> <li>Manage day-to-day operations and finances for SEADA </li><li>Conduct monthly budget review and forecasting; evaluate variances and financial exposure; recommend mitigation strategies to PI and Directors </li><li>Develop service agreements and MOUs, track payments and reconcile discrepancies for program income (revenue generated by the center for technical trainings and knowledge translation activities) </li><li>Manage communication with subcontractors regarding annual budget amendments and prepare supporting documentation </li><li>Prepare SEADA travel budget and track employee expenses </li><li>Monitor compliance with federal Uniform Guidance, award terms, and SU policies </li></ul> <p>Process and Operational Improvement:</p> <ul> <li>Lead initiatives to improve SEADA financial and administrative systems and processes </li><li>Develop and implement procedures, tools, or templates that increase efficiency, compliance, and transparency </li><li>Participate in departmental finance and administrative team meetings </li><li>Recommend operational enhancements to leadership </li></ul> <p>Executive Support to Principal Investigator and Directors:</p> <ul> <li>Manage PI and Directors¿ travel planning, reimbursement, and procurement card reconciliation </li><li>Reconcile leave balances for SEADA employees </li><li>Oversee and calendar staff leave and absences </li><li>Manage SEADA record keeping and compliance activities </li><li>Other executive support as assigned </li></ul> <p>External SEADA Representation:</p> <ul> <li>Represent SEADA at external meetings and events (e.g., Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Intl. Airport, ADA National Symposium) </li><li>Serve as liaison between SEADA and external stakeholders; communicate program status and updates to leadership </li><li>Other events as assigned by PI and/or project director </li></ul> <p>Other Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Administrative or budget support to SEADA or other BBI sponsored projects and programs as needed </li><li>Provide specialized project support for SEADA initiatives </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>Not Applicable</p> <p>Tools/Equipment</p> <p>Not Applicable</p> <p>Application Instructions</p> <p>In addition to completing an online application, please attach a resume and cover letter.</p>
