<p>Role Description</p> <p>Capitolis is seeking a highly analytical, business-minded individual with 2-3 years of experience in financial services to help turn complex, often ambiguous questions into actionable insights. This role sits at the intersection of data, business, and client needs - ideal for someone who can think critically, work independently, and translate loosely defined problems into structured analysis and clear recommendations. This role will report to our VP, Head of Portfolio Optimization.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Design and execute analyses to investigate business problems, identify drivers, and uncover actionable insights </li><li>Build forecast models for business performance and track progress against performance </li><li>Review product usage and benefit metrics to identify opportunities for improvement </li><li>Communicate and collaborate with multi-functional teams and stakeholders to drive alignment and operational efficiency </li><li>Build and maintain tools, queries, or dashboards to automate and scale common analysis workflows </li><li>Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, shifting demands, and limited direction </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>2-3 years of experience in financial services, ideally in a role involving client-facing work, strategy, with a quantitative/data-driven foundation, or risk/analytics </li><li>Strong analytical and critical thinking skills - comfortable working through ambiguity to find structure and insight </li><li>Ability to independently translate business questions into data queries and interpret the results in a meaningful way </li><li>Working knowledge of Python and SQL; able to explore and manipulate data without heavy engineering support </li><li>Exceptional attention to detail paired with the ability to move quickly and make sound judgment calls under pressure </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability and experience using data to tell a story, particularly in explaining technical findings to business audiences </li><li>Experience working with client-facing teams or directly with clients to deliver data insights or reports preferred </li><li>Familiarity with financial products, transaction data, or trading systems preferred </li><li>Exposure to dashboarding or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) preferred </li><li>Ability to work 5 days a week in New York City office </li></ul>
