<p>We are looking for a self-starter to effectively and efficiently operate, maintain and either repair or assist the the Resident Manager and Property Managers in coordinating the repair of all base-building infrastructure and infrastructure support systems and related equipment without limitation.</p> <p>This is a 32BJ union position.</p> <p>Pay is $31.55 per hour.</p> <p>Schedule : Sundays -Thursdays 3:30 PM - 11:30 PM</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Responsibilities: </li><li>Performing routine inspections and repairs of plumbing, heating and electrical systems </li><li>Responding to tenant requests and complaints in a timely and professional manner </li><li>Installing, assembling and fixing appliances, furniture and fixtures </li><li>Painting, patching and caulking walls, ceilings and floors </li><li>Cleaning and maintaining common areas, tools and equipment </li><li>Following building codes, safety regulations and quality standards </li><li>Reporting any major issues or damages to the supervisor or manager </li><li>Ordering and maintaining inventory of supplies and materials </li><li>Coordinating with external contractors or vendors when needed </li><li>Assisting with other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <ul> <li>At least two years of experience as a handyman or in a similar role </li></ul> </li><li> <ul> <li>Working knowledge of plumbing, heating and electrical systems and tools </li></ul> </li><li> <ul> <li>Ability to perform basic carpentry, painting and masonry tasks </li></ul> </li><li> <ul> <li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals and instructions </li></ul> </li><li> <ul> <li>Ability to work independently or as part of a team </li></ul> </li><li> <ul> <li>Ability to lift and move heavy objects </li></ul> </li><li> <ul> <li>Good communication and interpersonal skills </li></ul> </li><li> <ul> <li>Attention to detail and problem-solving skills </li></ul> </li><li> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li></ul> </li><li> <ul> <li>The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings </li></ul> </li></ul> <p>Experience: Minimum of one year of building operations and maintenance.</p> <p>Required: S-12, S-13, S-95</p> <p>Working Environment (Approximate): Indoors - 80 % and Outdoors - 20 %</p>
