<p>The Southern Berkshire Regional School District has a vacancy for a Full Time ESL Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.</p> <p>Overview: The ESL Educator will help to close the achievement gap by working with small groups, individuals, and the whole class to ensure that students are receiving standards-based and rigorous instruction, appropriate support, and necessary accommodations.</p> <p>The successful candidate will provide rigorous lessons aligned to MA State Frameworks that promotes independent thinking, creative problem solving, and intellectual curiosity for all students.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Plan and implement instruction to ensure that all students meet and exceed Common Core Standards and State Frameworks. </li><li>Use of data to inform instruction, to track student progress, and to track progress of self through self-evaluation and goal setting. </li><li>Deliver engaging targeted instruction that meets MA DESE and Common Core Standards for level and subject taught. </li><li>Differentiate services and instruction to meet a variety of student learning needs and strengths. </li><li>Maintain active communication with student families in support of their learning and to communicate with families consistently and regularly throughout the school year about their child's academic and social progress. </li><li>Serve as interpreter for families in school meetings about their children, if possible and necessary. </li><li>Assess student performance using formal (including administration of ACCESS tests to students on the designated caseload), summative, and portfolio assessments to drive instruction. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by administration </li></ul> <p>Qualifications required:</p> <ul> <li>MA DESE Certification as ESL Teacher or ability to obtain required certification. </li><li>Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field - Masters Preferred </li></ul> <p>Wage/Salary: (Per Unit A Contract) Benefits: (Per Unit A Contract)</p> <p>Please submit letter of interest/resume to: Sandra Hubbard, 491 Berkshire School Road, Sheffield, MA 01257 or shubbard@sbrsd.org Position is open until filled.</p> <p>The Southern Berkshire Regional School District does not Discriminate on the Basis of Race, Color, Age, Creed, National Origin, Disability, Sex, Gender Identity, Religion, Limited English Proficiency, Housing Status, Actual or Potential Marital Status or Parental Status, or Sexual Orientation.</p>
