The right Massage Therapist checklist will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.</p> <p>Provide high-quality massage services in a positive, collaborative and supportive work environment. Facilitate a unique and memorable guest experience by performing all duties in a manner fitting the Dollywood Company brand.</p> <p>Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.</p> <p>Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide high-quality massage and other services as your skills and license/s permit, using specified draping techniques and treatment protocols. Must be able to perform all massage techniques within the spa scope of practice within the first 30 days </li><li>Comply at all times with evolving COVID-19 restrictions and practices, sanitization </li><li>Use proactive sales techniques, recommending and demonstrating retail product for each guest </li><li>Recognize guests and peers in a genuinely warm and friendly manner </li><li>Arrive to work on time and groomed to the required standard </li><li>Consistently begin and end services on time </li><li>Maintain treatment room supplies, requesting inventory as needed </li><li>Ensure the cleanliness and neatness of the front-of-house and back-of-house areas. Assisting in cleaning, linen distribution, overall tidiness </li><li>Attend and participate in mandatory department trainings and meetings </li><li>Report maintenance issues promptly </li><li>Assist with event planning and execution as well as special promotions. Lean in on massage specific topics </li><li>Help design treatment protocols </li><li>Complete retail and backbar inventories as needed </li><li>Achieve high-level of proficiency with Book4time booking software and assist with trainings and administrative maintenance </li><li>Assist with team scheduling and attendance compliance </li><li>Coordinate food and beverage services for the Spa </li><li>Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and guest information </li></ul> <p>Management reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties</p> <p>Education and Experience Required</p> <ul> <li>Must be at least 18 years of age </li><li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>Computer proficiency and ability to learn new software </li><li>High level of proficiency in massage therapy </li><li>Proficiency in additional modalities such as East Asian therapies, prenatal and oncology therapies </li><li>Current Tennessee Massage Therapy License Required, Active and in Good Status </li><li>Must successfully complete a post-employment offer background check and drug test </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Must display and live out Lead with Love qualities strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture by being patient, kind, humble, respectful, selfless, forgiving, honest, and committed </li><li>Able to make a friendly impression when speaking to or corresponding with guests, vendors, and other employees </li><li>Must reflect Dollywood's image by being genuinely friendly and caring and by taking pride in work </li><li>Must be self-motivated and disciplined </li><li>Must be able to prioritize and complete work assignments on a timely basis </li><li>Must maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged information </li><li>Must be committed to continuous improvement </li><li>Must have professional appearance with good personal hygiene </li><li>Must promote and support a "team" work environment by cooperating and helping co-workers </li><li>Must be able to be productive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment </li><li>Must maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules including any required overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays </li><li>Must be sensitive to the needs of our Guests and feel empowered to act to meet their needs within company guidelines </li><li>Must be able to utilize effective communication, problem solving, conflict management and interpersonal skills </li><li>Must show appreciation of others </li><li>Able to get along with other employees to work out problems and resolve conflicts </li><li>Able to comprehend instructions and retain information </li><li>Able to perform duties consistent with creating a safe and secure environment for hosts and guests </li><li>Able to be flexible to handle frequent changes in priorities </li><li>Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide with accuracy </li><li>Able to communicate effectively using standard English grammar and punctuation </li><li>Able to tolerate various temperatures while working outdoors </li><li>Able to operate/drive a company vehicle with valid TN driver's license and insurance </li><li>Able to meet the physical demands of the job </li><li>Must be able sit, stand and maneuver body for long periods of time </li><li>Provide 25 to 75-minute massages and body treatments to clients by appointment </li><li>Guide clients through service offerings and determine which massages would fit them most </li><li>Annotating a detailed intake form on client </li><li>Advise stretching, strengthening and relaxation methods </li><li>Suggest future appointments and regime </li><li>Listen to clients during appointments and adjust technique to desired pressure </li><li>Must be able to perform 5-6 treatments per day </li><li>Never diagnose a client with anything but suggest seeing a professional if something seems abnormal or contraindicating </li></ul> <p>The Dollywood Company is an equal opportunity employer.
