<p>General Summary</p> <p>Applicants must qualify for work-study funds from Financial Aid.</p> <p>Starting rate for new hires is $16.00 per hour.</p> <p>Up to 20 hours per week across all student positions.</p> <p>SELECTION PROCESS</p> <p>Preliminary screening will be made on the basis of completed application package submitted by candidate. Completed application package includes</p> <ul> <li> <p>A submitted application</p> </li><li> <p>A copy of current class schedule.</p> </li><li> <p>Students may copy their class schedule from eWolf and paste into a Word document. Then save it to your desktop in order to upload to the application in the "Attachments" step.</p> </li><li> <p>You can also attach a cover letter and/or resume, but it is not required.</p> </li></ul> <p>All application materials become the property of Front Range Community College and cannot be copied. FRCC will conduct a criminal background check on selected candidate. FRCC does not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, age, color, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or national origin in employment or in our educational programs and activities.</p> <p>Primary Duties</p> <p>The student Database Assistant & Employer Relations position assists that Career & Transfer Services teamby engaging in values and mission driven work to support the department's enhancement of EmployerRelations services.</p> <p>This position will work closely with the Handshake Employment Database by beingresponsible for reviewing and managing employer posts, uploading data monthly, and solving problems withassistance from Handshake and from the Career & Transfer Services Coordinator. This person will be taskedwith inputting data from surveys to track data and create reports on students and activations. This personwill also help with connecting with employers through our career success email, responding to employerinquiries, and scheduling appointments for employers with the coordinator. In addition, this person will beasked to be a back-up at the front desk for scheduling of appointments and greeting appointments foroffices: Career & Transfer Services, Counseling Services, and the Military/Veteran Services.</p> <p>Handshake Support</p> <p>Manage the Handshake Database and approve new employers and jobs according toEmployer Guidelines. Monitor and upload data. Input data from assessments to trackdata. Create reports on students and Handshake activations. Support solving problemsrelated to Handshake with assistance from Handshake and the Career & Transfer ServicesCoordinator. Assist students with activating Handshake accounts.Assist Career & TransferServices Coordinator with setup/preparation for New Employer Orientation.</p> <p>General Administrative Support</p> <p>Provide strong and positive front-line customer service to students and employers fromdiverse backgrounds and experiences.Support the maintenance of the reception area andengage in phone/email interactions. Monitor and manage career success email. Schedulestudent appointments through the Navigate Portal. Make reminder calls to students about 20%appointments, clarify appointment types (career counseling vs. Academic advising). Review documents for accuracy, quality, and compliance with established procedures. Maintain security and confidentiality of documentation and student records. Use of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, etc.</p> <p>Employer Engagement</p> <p>Make phone calls to employers and schedule appointments for prospective/currentemployers with Career & Transfer Coordinator. Makes phone calls to employers to verifyrecruiter's names to update database. Assist employers with Handshake troubleshootingvia phone/email. Support employers with reserving recruiting tables via the Bookings site.Support the creation of Handshake collections of local employers. Support promotion ofHandshake to local employers. 15%</p> <p>Other Duties as Assigned</p> <p>Engage in department training and professional development as appropriate. Supportwith department needs/projects on other campuses (virtually). Maintain a clean andprofessional office setting. Work or work-equivalent history in customer service and administrative skills/experience is preferred.
