This role involves overseeing daily production scheduling functions, managing manufacturing order releases, and aligning them with the company's forecast and open demand. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn and grow within the automation industry, with a focus on production planning and supply chain management.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Oversee daily production scheduling functions. </li><li>Manage and release manufacturing orders accurately and timely. </li><li>Align manufacturing orders with company forecasts and open demand. </li><li>Coordinate with procurement associates to move items to the facility or customer. </li><li>Ensure all bill of materials are issued and manufacturing orders are reconciled or closed prior to shipping. </li><li>Create purchase orders and manufacturing orders. </li><li>Engage in vendor management. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in Excel. </li><li>Experience in production planning, scheduling, buying, or production control. </li><li>Strong communication skills. </li><li>Detail-oriented with a strong desire to learn and grow. </li><li>Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience in a production environment is beneficial. </li><li>Machine shop experience is a plus. </li><li>Familiarity with Power Query, Power Pivot, and Power BI. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This position offers flexibility in working hours, with the option to work four ten-hour days or five eight-hour days. Our company is currently expanding, moving to a larger facility in Aurora, which offers more room for growth. We are a growing company, deeply involved in R&D, and offer a great opportunity to gain or expand experience in the automation industry. While initially a contract role, there is potential for permanent placement depending on budget outcomes. Our work environment balances the feel of a family-owned business with the robust resources of a larger corporate entity.
