The ideal candidate</p> <p>should have a deep understanding of Golden Signals, custom metrics, and proactive observability</p> <p>strategies.</p> <p>Additionally, the candidate should possess Splunk Core expertise for log analysis, observability, and</p> <p>dashboard creation, ensuring a comprehensive approach to monitoring and troubleshooting.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Dynatrace Implementation & Observability:</p> <ul> <li>Design and implement Dynatrace monitoring solutions across AWS, GCP, and on-premises environments. </li><li>Configure and optimize performance monitoring, real user monitoring (RUM), and synthetic monitoring for applications and infrastructure. </li><li>Develop and maintain Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) to measure and improve application reliability. </li><li>Utilize Golden Signals (latency, traffic, errors, and saturation) to enhance observability and incident detection. </li><li>Define and configure custom metrics tailored to business needs and performance insights. </li><li>Set up and manage alerting profiles for automated integrations and proactive problem resolution. </li><li>Configure problem notifications and intelligent alerting in Dynatrace to integrate with tools like ServiceNow, PagerDuty, Opsgenie, and Slack. •Develop Dynatrace dashboards for business processes and infrastructure components. </li><li>Recommend baseline monitoring thresholds, performance monitoring KPIs, and SLAs. Splunk Core & Observability: </li><li>Leverage Splunk Core to develop and maintain custom dashboards, log queries, and reports for observability. </li><li>Implement log-based monitoring and alerting to complement Dynatrace insights. </li><li>Optimize Splunk queries to analyze logs, correlate events, and identify anomalies in application and infrastructure performance. Performance Optimization & Automation: </li><li>Collaborate with SRE, DevOps, and cloud teams to fine-tune monitoring configurations. </li><li>Automate observability configurations using Terraform, Ansible, Python, or PowerShell. </li><li>Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) using Dynatrace and Splunk insights to drive incident resolution. </li><li>Ensure compliance with securi ty, governance, and best practices in monitoring and alerting. </li><li>Stay updated with the latest features and best practices in Dynatrace and Splunk core, and advocate for their adoption where applicable. </li><li>Assist in capacity planning and performance tuning for cloud-based environments. </li><li>Contribute to the continuous improvement of monitoring processes and tools within the organization. Required Skills & Experience: </li><li>10+ years of hands-on experience in Dynatrace implementation across AWS, GCP, and on-premises. •Experience in Observability and application performance monitoring </li><li>Strong expertise in performance monitoring, RUM, synthetic monitoring, SLOs/SLIs, and Golden Signals. • Deep understanding of alerting profiles creation, problem notifications, and anomaly details metrics events creation in Dynatrace. </li><li>Experience in Splunk Core for log analysis, dashboard creation, and observability insights. </li><li>Hands-on experience with monitoring containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift). </li><li>Familiarity with cloud-native monitoring in AWS (CloudWatch, X-Ray) and GCP (Cloud Operations Suite). </li><li>Proficiency in automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Shell scripting). </li><li>Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to proactively detect and resolve performance issues. </li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. </li><li>Understanding of transaction processing, multi-tier application development, web infrastructure (web services, trend analysis, etc.) monitoring (including scripting synthetic transactions), defining meaningful metrics, identifying critical points in application workflow and leading appropriate corrective action. Preferred Qualifications: </li><li>Dynatrace Associate or Professional certification. </li><li>Splunk Core Certified Power User or Admin certification. </li><li>Experience with additional observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or New Relic. </li><li>Knowledge of ITIL processes and incident management best practices. </li></ul> <p>Base salary range:</p> <p>$100000 to $120000 per year</p>
