<p>Description</p> <p>We are currently seeking entry level SUE/Survey Technicians to join our growing team in Sanford, FL. This will be an Outdoor position, which requires heavy lifting. The main responsibilities will be to do most of the labor for the team (using a jack hammer, digging, setting site up, clean up, moving large hose from VAC Truck). This is a long term opportunity and individuals will be trained in the technical side of Survey and Utility Locating.</p> <p>Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Heavy labor including using jack hammer, digging, setting up site, operating vacuum truck, and site clean-up. </li><li>Performs minor maintenance and troubleshooting operating problems on vacuum systems and vehicles </li><li>Cleans and Maintains vehicles, work sites and equipment </li><li>Selects and applies appropriate geophysical prospecting equipment to accurately designate non-complex underground utility layouts. </li><li>Basic comprehension and interpretation of utility and highway design plans, atlases and record drawings </li><li>Completes paperwork including record keeping and simple mathematics legibly and accurately </li><li>Performs related duties such as setting up maintenance of traffic as directed, making basic field measurements and performing geophysical prospecting as instructed </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <p>Labor, General Labor, Construction Labor, Skilled, Vac Truck, Survey, Installation, Hand tool</p> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Highschool education or GED </li><li>Must be able and willing to perform heavy labor. </li><li>Ability to work outside in extreme heat and weather. </li><li>Valid drivers license and ability to pass an MVR check. </li><li>Travel required, possibly extensive travel up to 5 days during the week. </li><li>Overtime required, as needed. </li><li>Ability to lift 50 lbs or more. </li><li>Previous Utility locating or survey experience is a plus. </li></ul> <p>Experience Level</p> <p>Entry Level</p> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sanford, FL.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
