Learn how you can start or jumpstart your career with us.</p> <p>Qnity Semiconductor Technologies has an opening for a Product Development Engineer in the Chemical Mechanical Planarization Technology (CMPT) group. This exciting position is focused on delivering new pad product technologies that will allow the CMPT business to aggressively capture large customer market share in future advanced nodes in the semiconductor industry.</p> <p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p> <p>Leads development of new polyurethane or other polymeric pad products</p> <ul> <li>Leads projects to demonstrate manufacturing capability of new formulations and defines optimization plans to ensure that new products exceed cost and quality targets established by the business. </li><li>Optimization of manufacturing processes for products targeted for commercialization </li></ul> <p>Transitions new technology to commercialization</p> <ul> <li>Leads new project introduction through stage gate process to transfer new product technology to high volume manufacturing (HVM) unit </li><li>Development of operating discipline and safe operating procedures for pilot trials with pre-start up reviews and addressing all EH&S issues. </li><li>Conducts statistical review of manufacturing and pad physical data and prepares technology package for commercialization </li><li>Sets up SPC charts, control plans and quality systems for new manufacturing technology </li></ul> <p>Supports technology expansion and customer support</p> <ul> <li>Works closely with marketing and field service teams to define opportunities for improvement or new product offerings based on customer input </li><li>Supply of evaluation quantities of new products with desired purity, quantity, and within specified project timeline. </li><li>Develop improvement plans to meet the needs of advancing customer metrics </li><li>Supports continuous improvement plans in HVM </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of B.Sc degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Materials Engineering required. </li><li>Minium 4 years' experience in production or pilot production plant strongly preferred </li><li>Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) processes is highly desirable. Candidates with demonstrated track record in commercialization of new products will be given advanced consideration. </li><li>Six Sigma Green Belt Project Leader or higher Certification is desirable. </li><li>The candidate should have good competency in problem solving and statistical data analysis. </li><li>Candidate must demonstrate effective communication skills that will be required for cross-functional management of projects </li></ul> <p>On-Site Work Location: Newark DE</p> <p>#LI-LH1</p> <p>Join our Talent Community to stay connected with us!</p> <p>Qnity is an equal opportunity employer.
