<p>Overview</p> <p>The Manager of Facilities oversees facility operations and directs staff maintaining buildings, grounds, and equipment, while managing processes and special projects. It manages Materials Management functions through the Purchasing Assistant and leads support services supervisors, technicians, and mechanics across hospitals, clinics, and assigned facilities. The position partners with Safety/Security to address site-specific safety and security needs and ensures regulatory compliance with CMS, TJC, DHS, IDPH, and other authorities to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Directly supervises FMES supervisors. </li><li>Oversees work order backlogs and prioritizes departmental workflow and resource allocation with Supervisors and Clinic Coordinators. </li><li>Prepares and submits reports related to overtime, productivity, efficiency, budget variance, occurrences, regulatory compliance, and deficiency corrections. </li><li>Inspects facilities and equipment to determine service needs, resources required, and staffing levels. </li><li>Assigns maintenance, repair, and renovation work; secures bids and manages contracted services to ensure adherence to specifications. </li><li>Ensures all operating permits are current, electronically filed, and includes maintaining agency login information. </li><li>Purchases building, maintenance, and equipment supplies; prepares and monitors department budgets and expenditures. </li><li>Maintains labor and material cost records; provides cost reports and supports development of construction specifications with internal and external partners. </li><li>Reviews and evaluates contract bids, submits recommendations, and manages maintenance contracts. </li><li>Oversees CMMS data integrity and prepares documentation required for TJC and regulatory agency surveys; serves as the primary facilities representative during inspections. </li><li>Ensures preventative maintenance programs meet manufacturer and regulatory standards. </li><li>Coordinates clinic supply needs and participates in department, committee, and safety meetings, serving as chair when required. </li><li>Manages service recovery, reports departmental and project status to the Director, supports community service events, and performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</p> <p>High School Diploma required, with minimum six years healthcare facilities supervisory experience</p> <p>CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE</p> <p>N/A</p> <p>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS</p> <p>Passing the Driver's License Check and/or Credit Check (for those positions requiring).</p> <p>Passing the WI Caregiver Background Check and/or IL Health Care Workers Background Check.</p> <p>Must be able to follow written/oral instructions.</p> <p>OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES</p> <p>Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills</p> <p>Strong project management and technical skills</p> <p>Clear oral communication</p> <p>Proficient computer systems use</p> <p>INFORMATION ACCESS</p> <p>Partner may access patient care information needed to perform their job duties.</p> <p>SPECIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <p>The Special Physical Demands are considered Essential Job Functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.</p> <p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, handle, finger, feel, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, taste, and smell. This job requires the employee to frequently use close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. As well as occasional distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
