<p>Position Title: Retail Supervisor</p> <p>Department: Operations</p> <p>Reports To: Assistant Manager</p> <p>FLSA Status: Nonexempt</p> <p>Lead the Retail Team at Our Brand-New Murfreesboro Store!</p> <p>We're opening a brand-new store in Murfreesboro-and we're looking for energetic, people-focused leaders to help bring it to life! As a Retail Supervisor, you'll play a key role in building our team, shaping the customer experience, and creating a store culture that's focused on service, efficiency, and excellence.</p> <p>Position Purpose and Objectives</p> <p>The Retail Supervisor oversees daily operations on the sales floor and front-end. This role sets the tone for quick, friendly, and accurate service while maintaining store standards. You'll lead by example-training, coaching, and supporting your team to deliver a great shopping and donation experience. If you thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and love making an impact, this opportunity is for you.</p> <p>Roles and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Direct and supervise front-end and retail sales floor team members.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with hiring, training, and onboarding new team members.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide regular coaching, recognition, and support to help team members grow.</p> </li><li> <p>Build and manage team schedules to meet operational and labor needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Step in to perform all duties of retail associates as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee inventory levels and product flow; take action to resolve stock issues.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure smooth cash register operations and a positive checkout experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage cash handling, tender control, and daily accounting processes.</p> </li><li> <p>Respond to customer and donor questions, feedback, and complaints.</p> </li><li> <p>Set the example for strong customer service and coach your team to do the same.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain merchandise standards including pricing, condition, and presentation.</p> </li><li> <p>Support promotional events and marketing programs as assigned.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a respectful, inclusive, and team-oriented workplace.</p> </li><li> <p>Utilize open communication tools to collect team feedback and drive improvements.</p> </li><li> <p>Escalate unresolved concerns to store leadership in a timely manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Protect company assets and maintain confidentiality.</p> </li><li> <p>Promote safety and loss prevention by enforcing policies and procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain OSHA compliance and help create a safe work environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as manager-on-duty when the Assistant Manager or General Manager is unavailable.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform additional tasks as assigned by store leadership.</p> </li></ul> <p>Skills and Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisor, team lead, or keyholder role in retail.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient in basic math, reading, and computer skills.</p> </li><li> <p>High school diploma or GED preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Capable of coaching and evaluating team performance.</p> </li><li> <p>Able to follow and give clear instructions.</p> </li><li> <p>Independent decision-making and sound judgment.</p> </li><li> <p>Must pass background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screening.</p> </li><li> <p>Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.</p> </li><li> <p>Bilingual preferred.</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>Frequently:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Lift and carry up to 50 lbs., push/pull up to 25 lbs.</p> </li><li> <p>Climb ladders up to 14 ft., balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and handle merchandise.</p> </li><li> <p>Walk on tile/concrete, bend, and reach overhead or at waist level.</p> </li></ul> <p>Continuously:</p> <ul> <li>Stand for extended periods, talk, hear, and see clearly. </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule & Environment</p> <ul> <li> <p>Regular and weekend hours required; occasional evenings and holidays as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Indoor work environment with semi-controlled temperatures; some tasks performed outdoors in varying weather conditions.</p> </li></ul> <p>Other duties as assigned: Please note that this job description may not cover every duty or responsibility that might arise in the course of employment.
