<p>Rogers Group, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, is a privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company operating in 12 states with over 3,000 employees. RGI, established in 1908, has the distinction of being recognized as the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States.</p> <p>We have 86 quarries and 56 asphalt plants across Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio.</p> <p>Rogers Group is currently seeking a Manager of Equipment Operations for our Kentucky and Ohio Market Areas, based in Louisville, KY. This position will provide oversight of operational improvement programs/Initiatives for our aggregate and construction operations in the Central Kentucky/Ohio SMA and the Western Kentucky SMA.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Provide directions for long-range stock equipment planning to achieve the maximum return on investments. </li><li>Ensure all corporate and local maintenance programs and practices are implemented and in place. </li><li>Where needed, work with Area and Plant Managers to implement any necessary maintenance practices, driving high availability and low operating cost. </li><li>Establish PM standards for all rolling stock assets and oversight for adherence to those standards. </li><li>Mediate issues between vendors and RGI management as necessary. </li><li>Work with local management on all major repairs performed by outside vendors. </li><li>Review cost reports to identify underperforming rolling stock assets. </li><li>Maximize Rogers Group's Oil Analysis Program. Work with Plant Managers to ensure data is accurate and actions are taken when sample results indicate. </li><li>Work with the Corporate Equipment Manager to ensure all Capital Repairs are forecasted and completed correctly while managing the financial spend. </li><li>Assist management with capital replacement strategy. </li><li>Assist in capital forecasting for rolling stock equipment. </li><li>Assist mechanics with troubleshooting equipment issues. </li><li>In-depth, hands-on experience with maintenance and repair of rolling stock equipment. </li><li>Ability to negotiate with vendors on pricing. </li><li>Investigate root causes for equipment failures. Work with the Corporate Equipment Manager to implement findings and address fixes to prevent future failures. </li><li>Gather data, construct, and share Best Practices throughout the company. </li><li>Build strong relationships with dealers and partners supporting Rogers Group's asset fleet. </li><li>Perform site EMRs (Equipment Maintenance Reviews). </li><li>Respond to calls concerning equipment problems. </li><li>Oversight and assist local management on surplus and disposal assets. </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED SKILLS:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field of study preferred, or 8+ years of industry-related experience managing mining & construction equipment. </li><li>Preference for experience with underground-specific mining equipment. </li><li>Excellent computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. </li><li>Excellent communication skills </li><li>Ability to negotiate with vendors on pricing. </li><li>In-depth, hands-on experience with maintenance and repair of rolling stock equipment. </li><li>Ability to assist mechanics with troubleshooting equipment issues. </li></ul> <p>Rogers Group provides extensive benefits, strong compensation, and a safe, drug-free working environment.</p> <p>As a Rogers Group employee, you will have access to our competitive company perks, including:</p> <ul> <li>Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance plus Health Savings Account with annual company contribution. </li><li>Company provided Group Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment insurance. </li><li>Retirement 401(k) with company contribution and match at one year of service. </li><li>Company provided Short- and Long-Term Disability. </li><li>Paid Holiday's including Christmas shutdown between Christmas and New Years Day. </li><li>Paid vacation available after 180-day probationary period and accrued based on years of service. </li><li>Annual performance-based merit increases. </li><li>Career growth/advancement opportunities. </li></ul> <p>RGI EEO Statement</p> <p>It is the policy of Rogers Group, Inc. to recruit, hire, and promote individuals based on demonstrated merit and qualifications.
