<p>Kforce has a client in Watertown, MA that is seeking to hire an Associate Director Accounting to join their company. This client offers excellent company culture and the opportunity for growth. This position is scheduled as hybrid with 3 days on site. In this role, you will be responsible to assist in overseeing all accounting operations including the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and reports.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Associate Director Accounting will lead and manage annual monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process </li><li>Coordinate and manage the annual audit process liaising with external auditors </li><li>Manage technical accounting matters, including research and implementation of new accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606, ASC 842) </li><li>Maintain internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting </li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to support financial accuracy and accountability </li><li>As an Associate Director Accounting, you will conduct special projects and financial analyses as needed to support business decisions </li><li>Oversee the filing of payroll-related tax forms </li><li>Identify and implement process improvements* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred </li><li>8 years + Public Combo (Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SOX/internal controls, and technical accounting concepts), CPA preferred </li><li>Experience in a pre-commercial or clinical-stage life sciences company required </li><li>Prior management/Team building experience </li><li>Must be able to operate independently in a fast-paced startup environment </li><li>NetSuite implementation experience is a plus </li></ul>
