<p>Job Description:</p> <p>TITLE: Orientation Leader</p> <p>DEPARTMENT: Student Involvement and Leadership Development</p> <p>SUPERVISOR: Kristie McNamara</p> <p>SSTA APPROVER: Christine Pulsifer</p> <p>SCHEDULE: June 3 - 26 2026</p> <p>POSITION LEVEL: Non-Supervisory</p> <p>General Statement of Duties: Assist the Office of Student Involvement with various tasks related to the Orientation program including training, tasks, and working with new students and parents.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Serve as a role model for new students by displaying the responsibility and maturity of a continuing student. </li><li>Actively participate in all required events, including meetings, training, and move-in day. </li><li>Create an inclusive and welcoming community for all new students. </li><li>Facilitate activities and discussions within small groups. </li><li>Guide students to various locations and program points throughout orientation. </li><li>Answer fundamental questions about WSU. </li><li>Be prompt, prepared, and positive. </li><li>Promote full participation for students at WSU. </li><li>Assisting in the preparation of Orientation activities and materials. </li><li>Be an effective and clear communicator with peers, new students, parents, faculty, and staff. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must be enrolled as a full time student. </li><li>Must have been a full time student for at least 1 semester. </li><li>Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.3 or higher </li><li>Must be free of any current/pending judicial action by the university </li><li>Must be willing to live on campus for the month of June and participate in training, Orientation Program, move in day, and evaluation meeting. </li><li>Must be able to work independently and as a team and take initiative on projects/assignments </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Worcester State University is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer which seeks to reflect the diversity of its community.</p> <ul> <li>This position is available for WSU students only* </li></ul> <p>Hourly Rate: $15.00</p> <p>Application Instructions:</p> <p>Students must apply online.</p> <ul> <li>This position is for WSU students only.* </li></ul>
