<p>Working under the supervision, and following established procedures, performs a variety of radiologic procedures using standard, portable and/or specialized x-ray equipment to apply prescribed ionizing radiation in order to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patient's illness or injury.</p> <p>Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:</p> <ul> <li>12 weeks on-the job training and orientation </li><li>Command of verbal written English </li><li>Positive interpersonal communication skills </li><li>Organizational skills </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:</p> <ul> <li>One to five years as a radiologic technologist </li><li>Able to lift, push, pull without restriction </li><li>Able to use proper body mechanics </li><li>Able to work extra hours, including rotations </li><li>Able to answer telephone </li></ul> <p>Educational Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Graduate of an approved school of radiologic technology, associate degree in Radiologic Technology </li></ul> <p>License/Certification: ARRT Registration, Massachusetts licensure and CPR certification required.</p> <p>Age Specific Criteria: Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas.</p> <p>Ability to Meet Job Performance Expectations: Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or other individuals in the workplace, with or without a reasonable accommodation.</p> <p>Sturdy Memorial Hospital is an equal employment opportunity employer.
