<p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Assistant Front Office Manager plays a key leadership role in delivering Kimpton's signature heartfelt, personalized guest experience. This position supports the Front Office Manager in overseeing daily front desk operations while fostering a warm, creative, and empowering environment for both guests and staff. The ideal candidate leads with authenticity, service passion, and a strong sense of hospitality culture.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Guest Experience & Brand Standards</p> <ul> <li>Champion Kimpton's "Forgotten Items," "In-Room Delights," and personalized guest recognition initiatives </li><li>Create memorable, unscripted guest interactions that reflect the Kimpton ethos </li><li>Resolve guest concerns with creativity, empathy, and ownership </li><li>Oversee VIP arrivals, special celebrations, and repeat guest recognition </li><li>Ensure consistent delivery of Kimpton and IHG brand standards </li></ul> <p>Front Office Operations</p> <ul> <li>Assist with daily front desk operations including check-in, check-out, room assignments, and reservations </li><li>Support cash handling, billing accuracy, night audit coordination, and reporting </li><li>Ensure proper use of Opera PMS and other IHG systems </li><li>Act as Manager-on-Duty when needed </li></ul> <p>Team Leadership & Culture</p> <ul> <li>Help recruit, train, and develop front office team members </li><li>Coach staff to deliver authentic service rather than scripted interactions </li><li>Support scheduling, payroll review, and performance feedback </li><li>Promote a positive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture </li><li>Lead by example with professionalism, compassion, and enthusiasm </li></ul> <p>Collaboration & Compliance</p> <ul> <li>Partner with Housekeeping, Engineering, Sales, and Restaurant teams to ensure seamless guest experiences </li><li>Ensure compliance with IHG policies, safety standards, and local regulations </li><li>Participate in daily stand-ups and operations meetings </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Experience & Education</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred </li><li>2-4 years of hospitality front office experience </li><li>Previous supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred </li><li>Experience with Kimpton or lifestyle brands is a plus </li></ul> <p>Skills & Attributes</p> <ul> <li>Passion for guest service and storytelling </li><li>Strong emotional intelligence and problem-solving skills </li><li>Confident leader who inspires and supports individuality </li><li>Excellent communication and organizational skills </li><li>Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays </li></ul> <p>Physical & Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>Ability to stand and move throughout the shift </li><li>Ability to lift light items when needed </li><li>Fast-paced, guest-facing, lifestyle hotel environment </li></ul> <p>Why Kimpton?</p> <p>Kimpton fosters a culture where employees are empowered to be themselves, creativity is celebrated, and hospitality is delivered from the heart.
