<p>Job Title:</p> <p>89 Day Temporary Utility Engineer</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The University and all engineers covered under this Agreement shall comply with all federal, state and University safety policies and directives. The Engineers covered by this Agreement shall, if and when called upon, perform any or all of the following skilled and technical duties, but not necessarily limited to performing work under a work order or computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).</p> <p>Full Job Description:</p> <p>The duties of the Utility Engineer shall be as follows:</p> <ul> <li>Repair desk lamps. </li><li>Repairs on toilet facilities including soap dispensers. </li><li>Repairs on registers and radiators. </li><li>Removal and replacing of ceiling tiles. </li><li>Minor repairs on furniture and floors. </li><li>Replace ceiling lights and clean diffusers. </li><li>Repair or replace: towel racks, mirrors, coat hooks, drawer pulls, closet hardware, etc. </li><li>Repair or replace drapery hardware. </li><li>Clean sink drain traps. </li><li>Do preventative maintenance on door closers, window hinges and handles, i.e., clean and lube. </li><li>Maintenance painting in equipment rooms and other plant facilities. </li><li>Change filters on air-handling units. </li><li>General cleaning of mechanical equipment and boiler rooms. </li><li>Cleanup of equipment in engine room and shop. </li><li>Miscellaneous handyman work requiring the limited use of hand tools. </li><li>Replacing fire extinguishers when needed. </li><li>Assist engineers, or carpenters where needed, i.e., holding ladders or scaffolds, help in handling materials such as sheet rock or paneling, pipe length, etc. </li><li>Clear stoppages from water closets, urinals, and tub drains; without the use of power tools. </li><li>Assemble pre-made furniture. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Ability to safely lift 50 lbs; clean driving record and valid license. Available for any shift. Experience and ability to perform variety of mechanical tasks preferred. Must possess the necessary physical and mental requirements to safely and efficiently perform the duties of the job.</p> <p>Full-Time/Part-Time:</p> <p>Full time</p> <p>Pay Rate:</p> <p>Hourly</p> <p>Salary Range :</p> <p>$39.84/hour</p>
