<p>Job title: Business Development Manager - NS</p> <p>Effective Date: 5/15/25</p> <p>Work Location: Food</p> <p>Job Code: 750</p> <p>Division/Department: Sales/Marketing</p> <p>Reports to: Keith Swan</p> <p>n Full-time</p> <p>o Part-time</p> <p>n Exempt</p> <p>o Non-exempt</p> <p>Position Summary and Responsibilities:</p> <p>The Business Development Manager will develop and coordinate the department's sales & marketing activities under the supervision of the department director. Interact with team members to coordinate company & department capabilities presentations to prospective and existing street, national & regional account customers. Interact with Division sales management, business development, DSM, and DSRs. Position includes maintaining business relationships and conducting business reviews with selected customers.</p> <ul> <li>Conduct sales & capabilities presentations independently or in conjunction with division sales staff </li><li>Coordinate culinary service requests as needed by customer base (i.e., mini food shows, test kitchen, chef, dietitian and product specialists) </li><li>Conduct business reviews and follow up on action items with customers and Division personnel </li><li>Work with department manager & training department on preparation of sales training programs for non-commercial segments </li><li>Develop & schedule web based educational resources, including webinar series for department, sales staff & customers </li><li>Work with department manager & marketing manager to develop and coordinate media required for training resources </li><li>Coordinate & conduct sales training with GO & Branch Training personnel </li><li>Obtain and maintain ServSafeTM Trainer Certification </li><li>Coordinate & Conduct ServSafeTM & In-Service Educational Programs for customers </li><li>Coordinate & Conduct FOCUS Performance Improvement Process with select customers </li><li>Interact with Broker & Manufacturer Reps on product introductions & new trends to department customer base </li><li>Interact with external resource providers to identify and implement customer solutions as requested (i.e., UniPro, Becky Dorner & Assoc., D.M & A., web based menu provider) </li><li>Provide customer support as requested including coordination of menu & dietary systems support </li><li>Travel required </li></ul> <p>Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Outside Sales Experience preferred </li><li>ServSafeTM Trainer Certification Required </li><li>Excellent communication skills with an ability to express Ben E Keith total value program to prospects, customers, sales staff & trainees </li><li>Experience in Microsoft Office Suite of Programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access </li><li>Ability to learn and work in Keith systems such as KBIT & GUI, Explorer & Outlook </li><li>Ability to work in a team environment under tight deadlines </li><li>Ability to work independently </li><li>College degree preferred, Registered Dietician preferred. </li></ul>
