This role is responsible for governance to international trade laws and regulations, adherence to government programs, mitigating regulatory risk, and optimizing cross-border logistics.</p> <p>Major Areas of Responsibility</p> <ul> <li>Oversee governance of compliance internal controls, policies and procedures, applying deep regulatory expertise and sound judgment to make timely decisions across a rapidly changing retail product mix and regulatory environment </li><li>Ensure Legal Compliance / Statutory adherence to U.S. and global trade regulations. </li><li>Lead Risk Management strategies to identify, access, and manage through risk assurance methodologies. </li><li>Maintain partnerships internally and externally to embed trade compliance into TJX cross-border logistics supply chain workflows. </li><li>Primary authority to engage with government importing agencies, regulatory authorities, and external counsel for Trade Compliance. </li><li>Maintain awareness of best-in-class trade compliance importing regulatory adherence and risk assessment business processes and Global Trade systems and apply this knowledge to TJX. </li></ul> <p>Who We Are Looking For: You.</p> <p>Must Have</p> <ul> <li>Proven history of ensuring auditing programs meet reasonable care standards and post entry filing regulatory requirements </li><li>Expertise in determining applicable government agency filings are complete and meet reasonable care standards </li><li>Prior knowledge and experience working with various office software applications </li><li>Exceptional analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset </li><li>Strong ability to multi-task, work well in a fast-paced environment, and meet critical deadlines </li><li>Proven ability to build, lead, and coach high-performing teams </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interpret trade regulations to the organization </li><li>Strong problem-solving skills, humility, and continuous desire to learn </li><li>Bachelor's degree required </li></ul> <p>Nice to Have</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 10+ years of experience in the Regulatory Compliance field, including 6+ years leading and managing trade compliance professionals/teams </li><li>Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Broker License </li></ul> <p>Benefits include Associate discount; 401(k) match; medical/dental/vision; HSA; health care FSA; life insurance; short/long-term disability; paid holidays/vacation /sick/bereavement/parental leave; EAP; incentive programs for management; auto/home insurance discounts; tuition reimbursement; scholarship program; adoption/surrogacy assistance; smoking cessation; child care/cell phone discounts; pet/legal insurance; credit union; referral bonuses. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.</p>
