Our community is strong because of this.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The School of Education invites applications for Adjunct Instructor of Education to teach graduate and undergraduate special education courses. The start date is Summer semester 2026.</p> <p>All employees must understand the mission of Catholic higher education and be committed to the core values, mission, goals and objectives of Holy Family University.</p> <p>The successful candidate should have demonstrated excellence in teaching, preferably at the higher education level.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Teaching graduate and undergraduate level courses in a variety of formats, including face-to-face and online (asynchronous and synchronous) following the University's academic standards and guidelines. </li><li>Maintaining academic excellence in the classroom </li><li>Facilitate active learning experiences and practical exercises to enhance student comprehension and application of educational concepts. </li><li>Provide grades and feedback to students in a timely manner. </li><li>Respond to email correspondence from Deans, Coordinators, and students in a timely manner. </li><li>Use the Learning Management System (CANVAS) appropriately for all classes. </li><li>Utilize advising software (CRM Advise) to identify student issues and alert support offices within the university in a timely manner. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Certification as a Special Education teacher, preferably in PA </li><li>Master's Degree in Education, earned doctorate preferred. </li><li>Experience teaching special education in K-12 schools </li></ul> <p>Interested candidates should submit:</p> <ul> <li> <p>A 1-2-page cover letter that addresses the following:</p> </li><li> <p>Reason(s) for interest in this position</p> </li><li> <p>Summary of teaching philosophy and examples of how these are applied in course delivery</p> </li><li> <p>Any other information that may be useful to the search committee</p> </li><li> <p>A curriculum vitae that includes a list of college courses previously taught, indicating the format in which each were taught (face-to-face, synchronous online, asynchronous online, and/or blended/hybrid).</p> </li><li> <p>Official undergraduate and graduate transcripts</p> </li><li> <p>Three letters of recommendation</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualified candidates are invited to apply for this position by submitting a current CV, cover letter, and any additional materials requested above under the Qualifications section.
