<p>UC Health is hiring a full-time MRI Technologist for the Radiology department for second shift at West Chester Hospital.</p> <p>The MRI Technologist's role is to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by producing diagnostic MR scans of various organs and structures of the human body. Operates with minimal supervision, uses independent judgment to determine quality of images, and compliance with established protocols.</p> <p>About West Chester Hospital</p> <p>West Chester Hospital provides its patients with access to the region's largest group of specialized physicians and medical providers. West Chester Hospital has also achieved Magnet Recognition for excellence in nursing from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), and the hospital is routinely ranked among the best places to work in Ohio and Greater Cincinnati.</p> <p>Unit Details:</p> <ul> <li>In 2022, Newsweek magazine recognized West Chester Hospital among a listing of the World's Best Hospitals for the world-class clinical care provided to the Greater Cincinnati Region and beyond. </li><li>Utilizes high technology GE wide bore scanners. </li><li>Dedicated to safe MRI practices with specific patient tailored protocols. </li><li>The department has a reputation for providing outstanding patient experiences and quality medical care. </li><li>Communicates in a clear and appropriate manner with patients and staff while being able to identify and respond to varying needs according to the situation. </li><li>Performs all aspects of MRI according to established protocols, which includes, explaining procedures to patients, reviewing safety protocol with patients and participating parties, and completed MRI procedures according to safety standards. </li><li>Operates complex imaging equipment in a safe manner and reviews films for diagnostic acceptability. </li><li>Reviews and administers medications according to physician direction and provides continuous care to patients after completed procedures. </li><li>Prepares and administers contrast media or medications orally and by intravenous injection. </li><li>Administers or assists in administering CPR or other emergency procedures as needed. </li><li>Maintains appropriate records and supplies, participates in quality control, and evaluates department, equipment, and performance for areas of improvement. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Completion of or enrollment in a JRCERT approved program in Radiologic Technology/Nuclear medicine/or Sonography or an Associate of Science Degree in Radiologic Technology. </li><li>1 year of experience preferred </li><li>Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)/NMTCB/or ARDMS. </li></ul> <p>Join our team as an MRI Technologist in the Radiology Department and work alongside the best and brightest clinical teams collaborating toward our common purpose: to advance healing and reduce suffering.</p> <p>At UC Health, we're proud to have the best and brightest teams and clinicians collaborating toward our common purpose: to advance healing and reduce suffering.</p> <p>As the region's adult academic health system, we strive for innovation and provide world-class care for not only our community, but patients from all over the world.
