<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The mission of SUNY Upstate Medical University is to improve the health of the communities we serve through education, biomedical research, and health care. Beyond our downtown campus, we provide care through our clinics and offices across the greater Syracuse area.</p> <p>In support of our ongoing growth, we are seeking highly skilled and motivated Neuroscience Advanced Practice Provider who will serve in a full-time role to primarily provide care to patients in the Neurodegenerative Disorder Clinic at SUNY Upstate. The APP will provide ambulatory coverage in the Outpatient Neurology setting at UHCC.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assess and perform various procedures including, but not limited to paracentesis, thoracentesis, lumbar punctures, ultrasound guided IV's, punch biopsies, arthrocentesis, and central lines. </li><li>Providing expert level clinical care & coordination of care via a full range of services that will improve quality of patient care assessing & evaluating patients, ordering appropriate laboratory testing & diagnostic studies, arranging for referrals, testing, consultation & therapeutic services. </li><li>Maintaining outstanding relationships with families, referring physicians & all members of the health care team. </li></ul> <p>As an APP, you will be an integral member of the healthcare team, demonstrating professionalism, leadership, and a commitment to Upstate's mission, vision, and values, while adhering to all institutional policies and procedures.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (or graduated from an accredited PA program) or will be eligible by time of appointment. </li><li>NYS Licensed/Registered NP or PA. </li><li>Current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice. </li><li>NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required.
