<p>Preschool Special Education Teacher JobID: 1650</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Elementary School Teaching/Pre-K</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>10/24/2024</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Bryant School</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>06/30/2025</p> <p>&nbsp&nbspAdditional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Preschool Special Education Teacher</p> <p>Bryant Elementary School</p> <p>2024-2025</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Broad background, extensive knowledge, and practical application of principals, practices, methods, and strategies applicable to preschool students with disabilities.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong assessment skills appropriate for preschool-disabled students.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to organize, prioritize and deliver a variety of instructional strategies aligned to the District's preschool curriculum.</p> </li><li> <p>Proven ability to manage a self-contained preschool classroom (ages 3-5).</p> </li><li> <p>Develop, implement, evaluate, and modify individualized academic and functional discrete trial programs corresponding to IEP goals and objectives.</p> </li><li> <p>Collect, analyze, and oversee student data for progress monitoring purposes.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee all classroom functions, including training of Paraprofessionals to deliver high-quality instruction.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with implementing behavior reduction goals and individualized student treatment plans in collaboration with Child Study Team, behaviorist, families, and support staff, preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of augmentative communication devices including but not limited to ASL, modified sign language, PECS, and total systems of communication to assist student with expanding language repertoire is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to collaborate with administrators, CST members, related service providers, and district behaviorists to provide optimal student learning opportunities.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Valid NJ Teacher of Student with Disabilities certification required. </li><li>Valid NJ Preschool through Grade 3 or Elementary certification required. </li><li>Knowledge of Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards. </li><li>Commitment to active learning and individualized instruction. </li></ul> <p>Qualified candidates must have working knowledge of planning and assessment; be knowledgeable in a variety of teaching strategies and have a commitment to working harmoniously in a multicultural, diverse community.</p> <p>NJ First Act effective 9/1/2011</p> <p>Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer</p> <p>Application Procedure:</p> <p>Apply Online</p>
