You will receive a 15% shift differential for working on the night shift.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Sr Assembler is responsible for the precision assembly of complex electronic and electro-mechanical systems. This role requires advanced competency in assembling extremely small, fragile, and high-tolerance components using microscopes, specialized fixtures, and detailed work instructions. Sr Assemblers work from schematics, diagrams, Bills of Material, and written or verbal instructions to produce high-quality microscopic components for electronic test products. The role demands strong dexterity, exceptional attention to detail, the ability to derive and validate component tolerances, and the capability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment. As an expert assembler, this role also provides training, leadership, and process-improvement contributions within the assembly team.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Operate laser-cutting equipment per documented procedures to cut and extract polymer membranes and components for assembly or engineering evaluation.</p> </li><li> <p>Assemble polymer membranes onto electronic probe components, including membrane attachment, clamping into proprietary fixtures, UV curing, and managing cure times.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform mechanical attachment of miniature, mixed-material components using screw fasteners, adhesives, and precision alignment tools.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform all technical duties of an Assembly Technician II when required.</p> </li><li> <p>Prioritize assembly tasks to maximize throughput based on build requirements, cure times, and production due dates.</p> </li><li> <p>Read, interpret, and follow assembly documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), schematics, diagrams, and written work instructions.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform simple mathematical calculations, including tolerance stack-ups, to evaluate component fit and performance.</p> </li><li> <p>Assemble microscopic parts and components using specialized jigs, fixtures, hand tools, and microscopes.</p> </li><li> <p>Set up and perform testing to validate build specifications and confirm assembly accuracy.</p> </li><li> <p>Collect, organize, and analyze Statistical Process Control (SPC) data to monitor and improve process stability and yield.</p> </li><li> <p>Set up and operate specialized assembly and curing equipment in accordance with documented procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Safely handle chemicals-including adhesives and solvents-while following all safety rules, PPE requirements, and material-handling practices.</p> </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Works with chemicals while wearing ESD-safe protective equipment, including smock, hair covering, gloves, safety glasses, and other required PPE.</p> </li><li> <p>Works at a microscope for extended periods, up to 80% of a shift, depending on station assignment.</p> </li><li> <p>Able to read and follow detailed work instructions and complete both written and electronic documentation.</p> </li><li> <p>Capable of pushing and pulling 10-15 lbs.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs routine lifting of materials weighing approximately 6 lbs.</p> </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <p>Electrical Soldering, Electronic Soldering, Lead Free Soldering, PCB Soldering, Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Soldering, SMT Soldering, Solder, Soldering, Soldering Irons, Soldering Techniques, Surface Mount Soldering</p> <p>Education & Experience:</p> <p>Minimum of 4 - 6 years of related experience | Required</p> <p>Pay Range:</p> <p>$18.80 - $24.68</p> <p>Pay Range Explained:</p> <p>This role in Beaverton, Oregon pays between $18.80 and $24.68 per hour, depending on your experience, skills, and background. Pay may vary in other locations. We offer a full benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, a 401(k) with company match, employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), and paid time off.
