<p>Job Posting: Automotive Technician III (Entry-Level)</p> <p>Department: Carver Equipment Division - Light Vehicle Operations</p> <p>Location: Coeymans, NY</p> <p>FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)</p> <p>Employment Type: Full-Time</p> <p>Reports To: Light Vehicle Foreman - Carver Equipment Division</p> <p>Salary Range: $20-$24</p> <p>Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7AM-5PM (with occasional overtime or weekend work based on shop needs)</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform routine maintenance services such as oil and filter changes, tire rotations, fluid top-offs, and battery tests. </li><li>Assist with brake services, vehicle inspections, and minor repairs. </li><li>Support senior technicians during diagnostic procedures and complex repairs. </li><li>Maintain clean and organized workspaces while following all safety protocols. </li><li>Accurately complete work orders, inspection forms, and documentation. </li><li>Assist with general shop duties including transporting vehicles, running parts, and waste disposal. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent (GED). </li><li>1+ years of experience in vehicle maintenance or repair. </li><li>Basic mechanical knowledge and a strong desire to learn. </li><li>Ability to use basic hand tools and follow instructions. </li><li>Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. </li><li>OSHA 10 certification (or ability to obtain). </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Completion of or enrollment in an automotive trade school program. </li><li>Familiarity with basic diagnostic tools and service procedures. </li><li>Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift and carry automotive parts and tools weighing up to 50 pounds. </li><li>Frequent standing, walking, bending, and working in tight spaces. </li><li>Manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform mechanical tasks. </li><li>Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>Active service shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, grease, and machinery. </li><li>Fast-paced, team-oriented setting with opportunities for hands-on learning. </li><li>May require occasional overtime or weekend shifts to meet operational demands. </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Must be authorized to work in the United States. </li><li>Background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record check required. </li></ul> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer Statement</p> <p>Carver Companies is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
