<p>Saint Rose School is a Catholic school in Northeast Nebraska. We are seeking a fifth grade classroom teacher for the 2026-27 school year. This is a self-contained classroom. Our class size average is 10 students. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment, encourage student engagement and academic growth while supporting students socially-emotionally and spiritually. This role involves planning and implementing lessons aligned with curriculum standards, assessing student progress, and adapting teaching methods to meet students' diverse needs.</p> <p>Duties</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in all academic areas. </li><li>Assess student performance through standardized testing and provide feedback to students and parents. </li><li>Support students with special educational needs by adapting lessons and providing individualized instruction. </li><li>Collaborate with education administration to align teaching practices with school goals. </li><li>Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe and respectful learning environment. </li><li>Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Experience in lesson planning and classroom management is highly desirable. </li><li>Knowledge of literacy education, math instruction, special education strategies, and education administration is a plus. </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. </li><li>A commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment that meets the needs of all learners. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Education or be able to obtain a valid Nebraska teaching certificate with the appropriate endorsement. </li></ul> <p>Zone 3</p>
