<p>Anaheim Union High School District</p> <p>Description Under the direction of an administrator, and general direction of a classroom teacher and specialist, positions allocated to this class are assigned to assist a teacher or specialists providing academic, social and community based instruction and assistance to individuals or small groups of students with a wide range of significant disabilities including autism and/or intellectual disabilities. </p> <p>Some positions may perform special duties relative to the individualized needs of the special education student, in addition to performing the regular duties of the Instructional Assistant in the classroom. </p> <p>Full responsibility for appropriate instruction, training, curriculum materials and evaluation procedures remain with the teacher. </p> <p>Incumbents assigned to the Behavior Support classification would be assigned to students who are demonstrating severe behaviors as a result of their emotional disturbance, ASD; or intellectual disabilities. Note: Some positions in this classification may require bilingual skills. </p> <p>Job Description: Instructional Assistant-Specialized Academic Instruction </p> <p>Job Description: Instructional Assistant-Specialized Academic Instruction/Bilingual </p> <p>Instructional Assistant - Behavior Support: Applies behavior management and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques which are evidence-based for students exhibiting aggressive behaviors due to their emotional disturbance, ASD, or intellectual disabilities; implements supportive interventions designed to compliment the student's Behavior Support Plan (BSP). </p> <p>Job Description: Instructional Assistant-Behavior Support </p> <p>Instructional Assistant - Adult Transition: Provides specific job training and work site job coaching; acts as a liaison between adult students and work sites in the community. </p> <p>Job Description: Instructional Assistant-Adult Transition </p> <p>Instructional Assistant - Special Abilities: Assists in providing instructional support to individual students and/or small groups with significant disabilities including autism and/or intellectual disabilities in a variety of areas. </p> <p>Job Description: Instructional Assistant-Special Abilities Minimum Qualifications Refer to the individual job description links in this posting for a full description of the minimum qualifications. Completion of at least two years of study (48 semester units or 60 quarter units) at an institution of higher education; Or2. Attainment of an Associate of Arts degree or higher degree; Or3.
