<p>Are you a second-year Imaging or Radiology student looking to get hands-on experience while maintaining a flexible schedule?</p> <p>UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital is seeking a casual Imaging Services Student Tech to join the Womens Imaging team in Oakland!</p> <p>The Imaging Services Student Tech will be able to work a flexible, rotating schedule to accommodate their school schedule!</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of one 8-hour shift required per month. </li><li>Daylight hours available, along with evening hours on Wednesdays! </li><li>Shifts available Monday through Saturday! </li><li>No travel, holidays, or on-call required! </li></ul> <p>The Imaging Services Student Tech may perform imaging procedures at a technical level under the supervision of a Registered Technologist, incorporating learning and education with the performance of tasks to assist Technologists in their responsibilities.</p> <p>The Magee-Womens Imaging Department is a large, 140-person operation with 13 locations across the Greater Pittsburgh area! This is a great opportunity for students to gain valuable, hands-on experience while enhancing their education!</p> <p>Join us today!</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Arrive patients, track exams, scan scripts, and schedule exams in the Radiology Information Systems. </li><li>Assist Radiologist and Technologist in performing modality specific exams. </li><li>May utilize complex imaging equipment and complete procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist or Technologist. </li><li>May perform daily equipment inspections, warm up procedures, and follow Quality Control Program under supervision of a Technologist. </li><li>Assist Radiologist and Technologist in setting up contrast, however, will never be responsible for loading or priming the injector. </li><li>Obtain quality images while following radiation safety standards and protocols. </li><li>Assist with positioning and performing exams, but will never hold the detector or patients for radiation procedures. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must be an active 2nd-year student in ARRT, ARDMS, CNMT, or NMCTB approved school. </li></ul> <p>Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:</p> <ul> <li>Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) </li><li>Act 34 </li></ul> <p>UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran</p>
