<p>Title: Data Management Analyst - Risk & Control</p> <p>Location: Charlotte, NC</p> <p>Duration: 6 months</p> <p>Work Engagement: W2</p> <p>Work Schedule: 3 days in office/2 days remote</p> <p>Benefits on offer for this contract position: Health Insurance, Life insurance, 401K and Voluntary Benefits</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>Data Management - Contingent Resource: Covers jobs that drive oversight, governance, and management of critical data to support business needs, initiatives, and strategies. Consult with data product, data integrity, technology, and business partners to set standards, policies and practices for data flow, data framework, data access, documentation, quality and remediation. This sub-family is specific to contingent resources. Consult as an expert to develop or influence initiatives and resources for highly complex business and technical needs across Data Management. Consult on the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, and advanced analytical and inductive thinking. Provide expertise to Wells Fargo senior leadership on innovative Data Management business solutions. Strategically engage with Wells Fargo personnel.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Finance Data Product & Operations Oversight</p> <ul> <li>Provide senior-level operational ownership for Finance data products and applications supporting enterprise and regulatory reporting </li><li>Ensure stability, integrity, and accuracy of data across complex, interconnected Finance platforms </li><li>Partner with Technology teams to manage production issues, releases, and remediation activities </li><li>Provide ongoing recommendations to improve processes, integrate automation and AI to increase efficiency, consistency and scale to reduce operational risk </li></ul> <p>Data Quality, Integrity & Controls</p> <ul> <li>Lead complex data quality reviews, integrity assessments, and remediation initiatives </li><li>Design, execute, and document Finance data controls, procedures, and monitoring aligned to Enterprise Data Management and SOX standards </li><li>Support audits, RCSAs, regulatory exams, and ongoing risk assessments </li></ul> <p>Defect, Adjustment & Reconciliation Management</p> <ul> <li>Own triage, root cause analysis, prioritization, and closure of Finance data defects </li><li>Support and oversee Finance data adjustments required for regulatory and management reportin </li><li>Lead reconciliations across Finance systems and General Ledger integrations </li></ul> <p>Governance, Lineage & Risk Management</p> <ul> <li>Serve as a subject-matter expert on data lineage, critical data elements, and end-to-end data flows </li><li>Ensure compliance with Enterprise Data Management policies, standards, and control frameworks </li><li>Proactively identify data risks and recommend improvements to reduce operational and regulatory exposure </li></ul> <p>Leadership & Partnership</p> <ul> <li>Act as a trusted senior partner to Finance, Risk, Technology, Audit, Group Controllers, Treasury, and Regulatory Reporting teams </li><li>Communicate complex data issues clearly to senior management </li><li>Mentor peers and promote best practices across Finance Data Operations </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship</p> </li><li> <p>10+ years of experience in data management, data quality, reporting, or analytics within financial services</p> </li><li> <p>7+ years of experience leading complex data quality, integrity, or data operations initiatives</p> </li><li> <p>Advanced SQL experience (7+ years) for data analysis and issue investigation</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to operate independently and exercise sound judgment in complex environments</p> </li><li> <p>Strong written and verbal communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to lead, take ownership and work independently</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience supporting Finance or Regulatory Reporting (Federal Reserve, OCC, SEC)</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of General Ledger integrations and Finance reporting architecture</p> </li><li> <p>Experience designing SOX-compliant controls and procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Expertise in data lineage, metadata, data quality rules, and governance frameworks</p> </li><li> <p>CPA or CFA certification</p> </li><li> <p>Wells Fargo experience</p> </li></ul>
