As one of the top 10 family-owned companies in Germany, Heraeus employs around 16,400 employees in 40 countries.</p> <p>Your role and responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Summary - Evaluate work processes to determine strategies and programs which provide greater productivity and efficiency of production functions by performing the following duties. </li><li>Oversee the installation and startup of new equipment and initiate any modifications, as they become necessary. </li><li>Troubleshoot equipment or machine problems that are used on the floor for production. Respond to feedback and improvement suggestions from operators about the machines, fixtures and other equipment. </li><li>Provide technical support for production area staff. Improve production through the implementation of new processes and equipment. </li><li>Create assembly drawings of equipment, fixtures & electrical diagrams using AutoCAD. </li><li>Update OMS documents used in the manufacturing process. </li><li>Gather information to evaluate current work processes to determine the flow of work, time requirements, costs, and duration using Lean and Six Sigma and other continuous improvement concepts. </li><li>Investigate, develop, propose and implement cost saving measures regarding the manufacture of products. </li></ul> <p>What is required for this role</p> <ul> <li>Four-Year College Degree in an Engineering Field - preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Biomedical or Industrial. </li><li>Demonstrated aptitude for mechanical design. </li><li>Process-engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. </li><li>Prior experience in PLCs, Automated Manufacturing Machinery, and production operations. </li><li>Prior experience in the successful selection, justification and installation of capital equipment. </li><li>Mechanically inclined, hands on, with the demonstrated ability to troubleshoot equipment and correctly identify required repairs. </li><li>Prior experience and training in Lean and Six Sigma, certification preferred. </li><li>Computer Skills: Computer literate in basic application software systems.
