<p>Job Title: Estimator</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. The role involves preparing estimates by calculating various statistical data such as quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs per man-hour, equipment costs, and applying these to complete the scope of work. You will define and quantify scope of work and prepare comprehensive conceptual, budgetary, and construction cost estimates for projects. Additionally, you will review and research historical data, compiling summary reports to develop guidelines and precedence for future estimates.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Prepare estimates by calculating quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs per man-hour, and equipment costs. </li><li>Define and quantify scope of work for projects. </li><li>Prepare comprehensive conceptual, budgetary, and construction cost estimates. </li><li>Review and research historical data to compile summary reports. </li><li>Develop guidelines and precedence for future estimates. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>4+ years of estimating experience. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in construction or engineering. </li><li>Proficiency in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office. </li><li>Experience in Civil Structural and Architecture, Steel, Concrete, Foundation, Facade, Roof, Elevators, etc. </li><li>Take-off experience. </li><li>Experience in NYC is a must. </li><li>Experience in project management, construction management, and commercial construction. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in Revit is a plus. </li><li>Experience with a cost consultant firm such as Mace, Cuming Group, Turner & Townsend. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This position offers a hybrid schedule, allowing flexibility between remote and office work. The team is part of a high-end construction consulting office within the largest Cost Management firm in NYC, known for its professional environment and reputation in the industry. Employees work on elaborate and large-scale projects.
