<p>Job Description:</p> <p>We are seeking a senior web platform software engineer to join the * Application Platform Web Client (KWC) team. The KWC team uses the latest tech and concepts to more effectively handle shared dependencies among applications enterprise wide. This empowers library authors and application teams to better manage dependencies which improves velocity, reduces maintenance and support time, and improves the developer experience. In other words, we enable foundational capabilities integration via module federation: distributed shared dependency integration at enterprise scale.</p> <p>The role is challenging, much of what is being done has not been done before so you will need to bring all of your ability, experience, and creativity to blaze the trail together with the team. Should you accept the challenge, you and the team will design, build, test, deploy, monitor, support and maintain a system that will have a direct and meaningful impact on <em>, an opportunity to positively disrupt the way web applications are made at </em> , and potentially beyond.</p> <p>Technical Experience:</p> <p>Extensive knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS</p> <p>Proven experience and adherence to Web Platform principles</p> <p>Web engineering security, accessibility, performance and server-first</p> <p>Solid grasp of web architecture</p> <p>Full-stack web development</p> <p>Server-side rendering capabilities</p> <p>Node.js</p> <p>Koa.js</p> <p>Full understanding of how browsers work</p> <p>Request/response/load/events/etc.</p> <p>Performance</p> <p>Caching</p> <p>Service Worker</p> <p>Web Workers</p> <p>Site reliability engineering</p> <p>DevOps</p> <p>Experience with testing frameworks (unit, functional/integration, contract, etc.)</p> <p>CI/CD pipelines with GitHub or GitLab</p> <p>Azure or cloud experience</p> <p>Webpack/Rollup/RadPack and/or any web build tooling or plugin experience</p> <p>Working knowledge of React.js preferred</p> <p>Other cutting edge developer tooling open source library experience preferred</p> <p>Foundational Experience:</p> <p>Detail oriented and work well in a team and individually</p> <p>Self-starter with strong initiative and ability to work under pressure</p> <p>Understanding of the entire development process (design, development and deployment)</p> <p>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</p> <p>Ability to prioritize work and complete tasks with quick turnaround times</p> <p>Excellent organizational, time, and project management skills</p> <p>Business-minded approach to time, costs, and deadlines</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Identify and uphold engineering best practices</p> <p>Collaborate with peers, architects, product managers, and stakeholders to iterate on the design & implementation of our product</p> <p>Design a framework for integrating foundational application capabilities that grows with the needs of the company</p> <p>Review product and app code, and plan future API upgrades with the development team</p> <p>Work with engineers from our consumers to build and ship features</p> <p>Assist in the development of applications & features that will be put on customer and associate apps.</p> <p>Monitor performance, effectively respond, and rectify issues</p> <p>Stay up-to-date on existing and emerging technologies</p>
