At Progress Rail, the team is not just building the future of rail-they are making history every day.</p> <p>Education / Training</p> <p>2 or 4-year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, or a related field.</p> <p>Course work, personal, or direct experience developing data-driven applications and/or interfaces.</p> <p>Key Job Elements</p> <ul> <li>Develop and configure applications and modules to meet the business requirements of our organization; </li><li>Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions; </li><li>Design, develop, test, and deploy workflows, forms, scripts, integrations, and customizations; </li><li>Customize and extend functionalities using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other related technologies; </li><li>Ensure best practices are followed for process automation and optimization; </li><li>Manage platform updates, patches, and upgrades, ensuring system stability and performance; </li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, providing technical support to users; </li><li>Design and configure Asset Management processes, including hardware/software tracking and lifecycle management; </li><li>Create and maintain system integrations and data imports/exports; </li><li>Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide insights into processes. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications and Experience</p> <ul> <li>2+ years experience developing data-driven applications and/or interfaces; </li><li>Course work, personal, or direct experience with Linux operating system(s); </li><li>Course work, personal, or direct experience with Oracle databases; </li><li>Course work, personal, or direct experience with Java development; </li><li>Course work, personal, or direct experience with requirements analysis; </li><li>Course work, personal, or direct experience with database design; </li><li>Strong work ethic; </li><li>Ability to work in a team; </li><li>Self-motivated; </li><li>Strong communication skills; </li><li>Must be willing to travel (approx. 5%-10%) and provide on-call support; </li><li>Proven experience as a developer with exposure to ITSM, CSM and Asset Management; </li><li>Strong understanding of ITIL best practices and development, including custom scripting (JavaScript, HTML). </li><li>Ability to troubleshoot issues and provide timely, effective resolutions; </li><li>ITIL V3/4 certification is preferred; </li><li>Previous experience with SQL relational databases and web services (SOAP, REST) is a plus; </li><li>Experience using JIRA and other reporting tools is preferred. </li></ul> <p>EEO</p> <p>Progress Rail is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities.</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance, and experience.
