<p>Job Description:</p> <p>POSTING DATE: April 1, 2026</p> <p>POSITION: Elementary Special Education Teacher East Haddam Elementary School</p> <p>AVAILABLE: 2026/2027 School Year</p> <p>SALARY/BENEFITS: Per East Haddam Education Association Contract</p> <p>CLOSING DATE: Open Until Filled</p> <p>REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>Current comprehensive special education (165) Connecticut teaching certificate required</p> <p>IEP data collection knowledge</p> <p>Working knowledge of CTSEDS</p> <p>Elementary school special education experience preferred</p> <p>Desire to work as part of a team with a dedicated group of professionals</p> <p>East Haddam Elementary School is seeking a dynamic special educator to join our team starting in the 2026-2027 school year. The selected candidate will provide individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals for students in grades K-3 within a structured and supportive classroom environment. Instruction will be guided by ongoing data collection and progress monitoring to ensure student growth, with a focus on developing foundational reading and math skills through engaging, evidence-based practices. The teacher will implement positive behavior supports tailored to individual student needs and demonstrate a strong understanding of developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs.
