Colson Group's unique and proprietary global footprint provides available services and capabilities unmatched by any other manufacturer.</p> <p>Colson Group is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor in our Jonesboro, AR facility.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>This role will supervise the manufacturing team across all shifts to fulfill the daily responsibilities of metal cutting, forming, stamping, welding, and assembling customer orders. Oversee the replenishment of material for production, and the movement of finished goods into inventory. Through the leading of personnel, accomplish work results, priorities, and monitor/report on progress. Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment. Report on those activities to management in the support of company initiatives, standards, policies, and overall continuous improvement.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions</p> <ul> <li>Supervise personnel to accomplish positive work results, establish priorities, and monitor progress. </li><li>Report, as needed to management, the results of production activities. </li><li>Ensure all employees work to achieve a high level of productivity while maintaining product quality and safety. </li><li>Ensure input all daily employee paperwork (labor, scrap, SPC) into the labor reporting system. </li><li>Support company initiatives by maintaining adherence to organization standards and policies. </li><li>Support the creation and sustainment of processes and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and supporting continuous improvement. </li><li>Use Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques to enhance and improve productivity. </li><li>Support the efforts of other departments through prompt responsiveness to requests and inquiries. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>In the occasional coverage for floor employees the following may be required.</p> <ul> <li>Workers are required to lift packages up to 40 pounds. </li><li>Work may require bending or stooping. </li><li>Employees are required to walk long distances repeatedly throughout the day. </li><li>Standing/Walking 8+ hours per day. </li><li>Employee required to climb step stools/small ladders. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge</p> <ul> <li>H.S. Diploma Required </li><li>Supervision or 2-5 years equivalent work experience </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>2-3 years experience leading teams to accomplish daily production/assembly goals. </li><li>2-3 years Maintaining quality in a production environment. </li><li>Working with other departments to achieve goals. </li><li>Supporting continuous improvement initiatives. </li><li>2-3 years in Stamping Manufacturing. </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li>Ability to provide team leadership, lead problem solving initiatives, establish team goals. </li><li>Knowledge of workflow methodologies. </li><li>Able to organize daily work and track accountability. </li><li>Ability to use MS Office (Outlook, MS Word, Excel, etc.) </li><li>Knowledge and ability to use ERP systems such as Epicor. </li><li>Able to lead personnel in daily duties by leading by example. </li><li>Able to accomplish work results, priorities, monitor work progress, report results of workflow on shift summaries. </li><li>Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards. </li><li>Strong cross functional communication skills. </li><li>Training in material handling equipment. </li><li>Good work ethic. </li></ul> <p>Note*</p> <p>Every effort has been made to identify the essential functions of this position.
