Unlock your potential!</p> <p>Job Summary and Qualifications</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>Provides increasingly complex, substantive business, technical, and legal review, including analysis and interpretation of ITG contracts including, but not limited to, order forms, statements of work, amendments, evaluation agreements, assignments, non-disclosure agreements (NDA), business associate agreements (BAA), and governing purchase agreements in support of operations and strategic initiatives of the HCA enterprise. Click here to enter text.</p> <p>Major Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Utilize the Contract Management System (CMS) to research, facilitate and execute the ITG contracting process; maintains the accuracy and integrity of the information contained in the CMS. </li><li>This position involves an emphasis on complex contracts and requires subject matter expertise in the areas of contracting and negotiation with a focus on healthcare information technology subject matter including, but not limited to, professional services, various software licensing methods (on-premise and cloud offerings (Software as a Service, Platform as a Service, and Infrastructure as a Service)), diverse regulatory policies including HIPAA, consumer protection, Stark Law, and the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and information security practices. </li><li>Stay up-to-date with current technology trends and naming conventions, in general and within healthcare industry. </li><li>Support the HCA enterprise, including all ITG business units, and reports directly to the Contract Manager. </li><li>Work closely with Technology & Innovation Law Group, Directors, Business Owners, Solution Leaders, Project Managers, Financial Analysts, Strategic Sourcing, Information Protection & Security, Division and Field staff, Area VPs, and other Executive Management. </li><li>Demonstrates professionalism and competence when representing ITG in direct interactions with non-ITG stakeholders, including affiliates such as our group purchasing organization, other HCA enterprise business units and departments, Division and Facility stakeholders, outside counsel, and vendor representatives. </li><li>Determine if / when data is being shared outside of the enterprise, the type of data, and how that data will be utilized. </li><li>Recognize when escalated review is needed; determines the appropriate point of escalation; and ensure the person or team performing such review has all relevant information and documentation. </li><li>Decisions made in this role may have implications related to compliance, including, without limitation, with internal policies, administrative regulations, state/federal laws, and international policies. </li><li>Demonstrate superior judgment, high ethical standards, a strong attention to detail, and effective written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to work effectively and efficiently on multiple tasks in parallel, while meeting deadlines, communicating effectively with relevant stakeholders, and maintaining high quality standards. </li><li>Coordinates complex negotiations with ITG vendors, secondary reviewers, and internal stakeholders. </li><li>Exceptional knowledge and understanding of IT contracting methodologies is required. Strong knowledge and understanding of current IT/healthcare industry products, services, and trends is preferred. </li><li>Must be comfortable with Microsoft Office products and able to learn and utilize new technology resources as required. </li><li>Practices and adheres to the "Code of Conduct" philosophy and "Mission and Value Statement." </li></ul> <p>Common Tasks</p> <ul> <li>Level One (Frequent) </li><li>Substantial review and analysis of complex ITG agreements and preparation of redlines incorporating business, technical, legal, and SME feedback. Facilitate internal discussions with relevant ITG stakeholders regarding proposed contracting terms and escalate for heightened review as appropriate under ITG contracting standards. </li><li>Negotiation and interface with internal stakeholders and vendor representatives. </li><li>Substantive analysis and interpretation of active ITG agreements as required by the organization. </li><li>Serve as a subject matter expert in the areas of ITG contracting practices and negotiation to serve as an escalation step and provide cross training for junior members of ITG Contracts group. Further escalate for heightened review as appropriate under ITG contracting standards. </li><li>Coordinate and assist training and other communications with the ITG business community in the areas of contracting process, risk, and analysis to include responding to inquiries to the ITG Contracts mailbox. </li><li>Serve in a leadership capacity with respect to special contracting projects as assigned (e. g. required regulatory updates, training classes, contract process improvement initiatives). </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors degree required </li><li>7+ years of experience in contract review, processing, and negotiation required </li></ul> <p>Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience</p> <p>HCA Healthcare has been recognized as one of the Worlds Most Ethical Companies by the Ethisphere Institute more than ten times.
