<p>Job Description:</p> <p>DESCRIPTION: Student Campus Paraeducator</p> <p>Responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of a safe and positive school climate at the middle school through proactive measures and implementations of intervention and restorative practices. Primary responsibilities will be supporting campus climate and safety to include hallway and lunch/recess duty.</p> <p>LOCATION: Jared Eliot Middle School, Clinton, CT</p> <p>START DATE: First Day of Classes: August 26, 2025</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Minimum Associate's Degree. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Background experiences in a secondary school setting or coursework in psychology, sociology, social work, or educational fields is desirable. Demonstrated organizational skills, effective oral and written communication, and the ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. The Student Campus Paraeducator must relate easily and well with middle school children and must be able to communicate both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner with students, staff, and parents. This position requires the requisite physical stamina to be able to move quickly from area to area and to be able to spend most of the day on his/her feet moving about the building and grounds.
