<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Job Description: 5th Grade Middle School Teacher</p> <p>Location: TE Middle School</p> <p>Position: 5th Grade Middle School Teacher</p> <p>Overview:</p> <p>The Tredyffrin/Easttown School District (TESD) is seeking a passionate and skilled 5th Grade Middle School Teacher to join our team of outstanding educators. This teacher will play a vital role in supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development as they transition from elementary to middle school. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong foundation in upper elementary content areas, a commitment to inclusive and engaging instruction, and the ability to foster a nurturing classroom community.</p> <p>This is an exciting opportunity to join a district recognized for academic excellence, professional collaboration, and a strong commitment to the whole child.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Deliver high-quality, standards-based instruction across core content areas (ELA, math, science, and social studies) </li><li>Design and implement developmentally appropriate and differentiated lessons aligned with PA Core Standards and TESD curriculum </li><li>Foster a classroom environment that supports critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication </li><li>Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and guide instruction </li><li>Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and communicate regularly with families </li><li>Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administrators to support student growth and achievement </li><li>Establish a classroom culture rooted in respect, equity, and inclusion </li><li>Participate in school-wide initiatives, team meetings, professional development, and curriculum planning </li><li>Support students' social-emotional learning and contribute to a positive school climate </li></ul> <p>Candidate Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Valid Pennsylvania Instructional I or II Certification in Grades 4-8 (with appropriate content area endorsements) </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Education required; Master's degree preferred </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of effective instructional strategies for diverse learners </li><li>Strong classroom management and communication skills </li><li>Commitment to equitable and inclusive teaching practices </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and families </li><li>Willingness to support students beyond the classroom, including school events and activities </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience teaching in a 5th or 6th grade setting </li><li>Familiarity with middle school teaming and advisory models </li><li>Experience with culturally responsive and trauma-informed teaching practices </li><li>Proficiency in integrating technology into instruction </li><li>Understanding of current educational best practices, including project-based and student-centered learning </li></ul> <p>You are navigating off of REAP site to the district's posting.</p> <p>OK</p>
