<p>ARROW ACADEMY CHARTER SCHOOL</p> <p>Job Description: Administrative Clerk Internship (SEASONAL)</p> <p>Position Title: Administrative Clerk Internship</p> <p>Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt/At Will/ $10 per hour</p> <p>Reports to: Director/Principal</p> <p>School: Campus Assigned</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Education: Graduate from a high school</p> <p>Ten or more college hours toward an Associate Arts degree or undergraduate coursework is preferred.</p> <p>SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of Microsoft Word office productivity software </li><li>Comfortable using a computer for data collection and email </li><li>Experience in basic clerical functions, filing, and telephone etiquette </li><li>Possess basic office skills in word processing, data base management, Internet interface, spreadsheet use </li><li>Ability to follow guidance of the teacher and administrators </li><li>Attention to detail in completing special projects </li><li></li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Ability to stand for at least thirty minutes </li><li>Type and use a computer for spreadsheet and word processing </li><li>Able to sit for extended time </li><li>Demonstrate appropriate telephone etiquette </li></ul> <p>PURPOSE</p> <p>Clerk has responsibilities to work independently under the guidance of staff. Clerk provides customer service, maintains records in offices, order supplies and designated luncheons, assemble and organize handouts and materials for staff, set up for trainings and meetings, create sign in sheets, and performs general clerical and office record keeping tasks as needed for preparation for Professional Development Training for teachers and staff.</p> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Comply with the employee handbook </li><li>Perform duties assigned including general clerical and record keeping </li><li>Organize PD Materials for training </li><li>Support activities for grant implementation </li><li>Report any concerns to the Principal/Superintendent </li><li>Treat all parents, students and staff in a considerate and respectful manner </li><li>Complete all duties assigned by supervisor in a satisfactory manner </li></ul> <p>Management in one or more of the following areas</p> <ul> <li>Manage collection of data from grant activities </li><li>Manage collection of supplies and materials to support grant activities </li><li>Take direction for managing workflow of grant activities assigned </li><li>Business office operations, accounts payable, purchase orders </li></ul> <p>WORKING ENVIRONMENT</p> <ul> <li>Maintain emotional control under the stress of instructional operations </li><li>Be flexible in assisting others as requested </li><li>Participate in professional conferences </li></ul> <p>Retirement is through a FICA Alternative Plan, 457(b), and not the Teacher Retirement System of Texas.</p> <p>Texas Workers Compensation covers workers in this position.</p> <p>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
