<p>Title: Storekeeper</p> <p>State Role Title: Store & Warehouse Spec II</p> <p>Hiring Range: $19.00 - $22.00</p> <p>Pay Band: 2</p> <p>Agency: Virginia Department of Health</p> <p>Location: RAP-RAP-CULPEPPER</p> <p>Agency Website: vdh.virginia.gov</p> <p>Recruitment Type: General Public - G</p> <p>Job Duties</p> <p>The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) is dedicated to protecting and promoting the health of Virginians.</p> <p>Rappahannock-Rapidan Health District (RRHD) seeks an experienced resource to fill the role of Storekeeper.</p> <p>The Store keeper independently receives, classifies, and stores incoming stock; pulls, packs, and ships orders assigned by supervisor. Ensures incoming and outgoing orders are checked against invoice/packing list. Counts and inventories as assigned, assists with cleanup and storage of records, distributes supplies and conducts periodic inventories. May serve as building custodian, responsible for ensuring building is locked/open when scheduled, inspecting daily to find security/cleaning/repair problems, and serving as lead worker of cleaning team. May back up mail/messenger staff delivering mail, lab specimens, and bank deposits.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Working knowledge of general storeroom operations and procedures, including inventory control </li><li>Computer and typing skills and the ability to key information into automated databases; working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; working knowledge of calculator and familiarity with completing forms/internal documentation </li><li>Ability to lift or move heavy objects up to and including 30 - 60 lbs </li><li>Ability to communicate and interact effectively with the public and co-workers </li><li>Strong organizational and customer services skills </li></ul> <p>Additional Considerations</p> <ul> <li>Prior experience as a storekeeper responsible for security and issuance of large inventory including office/medical/cleaning/miscellaneous supplies </li></ul> <p>Special Instructions</p> <p>You will be provided a confirmation of receipt when your application and/or résumé is submitted successfully.
