<p>TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full-time Systems Administrator II to join our team in Dover, Delaware. Job Summary: Provides day-to-day technical support to employees for network infrastructure and internal desktop systems software and hardware. Installs, configures and troubleshoots desktop systems, workstations, servers and network issues in a heterogeneous environment. Communicates highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel. Primary Duties and Responsibilities include the following:</p> <p>Responds to requests via the helpdesk in the most expedient manner possible. Receives, configures, and installs requests for personal computers. Provides troubleshooting and repair for moderate network solutions. Recommend changes in operating procedures, hardware standards, and software standards as warranted by new technological changes and operating conditions. Evaluates interface between users, hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of overall desktop system. Maintains servers, user accounts, file/print permissions as required for both internal and remote users. Daily system maintenance review, such as systems log, antivirus server logs, etc. Performs daily backups. Provides monitoring and reports of the operational status of LAN/WAN environment as needed. Interacts with vendors. Installs and configures computer equipment. Recommends the acquisition of new hardware and/or software as needed. Maintain IT system records for audit and compliance review Perform month audits of user accounts for all critical systems Support On-Call rotation responsibilities Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job</p> <p>Desired Skills:</p> <p>Prior experience in the information technology field and network administration including: Active Directory, DNS, and MS Exchange, Hyper-V, Windows 10 and Server 2012R2 Experience with VEEAM backup software is a plus Functional knowledge of TCP/IP and networking Functional knowledge of hardware connections A+, CompTIA, Microsoft or HDI certification is a plus</p> <p>Education: Associate's degree (A. A.) in computer science, network administration or related field Knowledge: Uses skills as a seasoned experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. This job is the fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position. Job Complexity: Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel. Supervision: Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments. Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
